Fans are growing increasingly frustrated about the apparent lack of marketing for Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was only a couple of weeks ago that we got an Empire Magazine cover and feature, but with a little over a month to go until the movie swings into theaters, there's a lot of anticipation to see a new trailer, posters, TV spots, and the usual reveals we'd usually get this close to release.
Well, it appears a poster has now been spotted out in the wild as an Australian fan came across the following one-sheet on the side of a bus. As always, it's possible this is very elaborate fake. While some are declaring it 100% real, we can't help but notice that Doctor Octopus' arms look a little weird, while Spidey appears to have been pulled straight from that final shot in the teaser.
Real or fake, it's not a bad effort, though we're definitely hoping for something a little less generic that plays more into the fact that this movie is going to throw Spider-Man into the madness of the Multiverse. At this point, it remains unclear whether the other Spider-Men will be marketed in any way.
Now Eternals is playing in theaters, perhaps Sony will choose next week to pull back the curtain on what's to come in the threequel? Here's hoping, as the wait for the new trailer is agonising!
"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero," reads the movie's synopsis. "When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."
Among the threequel's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx.
As noted, Spider-Man: No Way Home will arrive exclusively in theaters on December 17.
