THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 To Be Subtitled THE RISE OF ELECTRO?

There's been talk of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 being subtitled with either "Price of Power" or "With Great Power", but a Brazillian website has revealed that the sequel will be called The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro in that country. Will the same apply elsewhere?

Brazilian website Cinepop have today revealed that the title of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be "O ESPETACULAR HOMEM-ARANHA: A AMEAÇA DE ELECTRO". According to the site, that translates to The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro, and confirms earlier reports that the sequel will have a subtitle. Whether this name will be used only in Brazil remains to be seen (similar to how Captain America: The Winter Soldier is being called Captain America: The Return Of The First Avenger in Germany), but with the first trailer just a few weeks away, we should know sooner rather than later! What do you guys think of this title? Sound off with your thoughts below.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson
