The Scorpion
Scorpion_(MacDonald_Gargan)
Scorpion would be the perfect choice for Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios to us as the villain for the first MCU film because he is fast and capable of climbing up walls and because he starts out as a private investigator initially hired by J. Jonah Jameson to find out how Peter Parker is able to obtain incredible pictures of Spider-Man. Gargan's efforts set off Peter's spider-sense and the teen was able to easily evade the detective. Jameson then decided to hire Gargan as the subject of a barely tested process that would endow him with the useful characteristics of a particular animal with the help of Dr. Farley Stillwell. In this case, a scorpion was the base for the purposes of creating a powerful agent capable of defeating Spider-Man. The Scorpion proved to be more than a match for the wall-crawler, defeating him twice, but the mutagenic treatment seriously affected Gargan's mind, driving him insane. He promptly turned on his benefactor but Spider-Man intervened, and managed to finally defeat the Scorpion in their third battle. Jameson was struck with the irony that he was saved by the man he tried to destroy from the thing he created to destroy him. Since then, the Scorpion became a professional criminal and would return to indulge in his deadly vendetta against Spider-Man and Jameson, only to be defeated again. The Hobgoblin

Despite using a glider with various pumpkin bombs like the Green Goblin, the Hobgoblin isn't as strong as the Green Goblin but would in fact work well as the villain for the first MCU Spider-Man film in 2017 because of Rodrick Kingsley being an employee fired from Oscorp, he would seek revenge against Norman Osborn for doing so and way for that to work flawlessly in the film would involve the struggles the character has gone through during the events from the Avengers 2012 movie that no matter the reason, Spider-Man would have to protect Osborn and his son Harry from being threatened by the swindling villain himself because doing what's right is more important than each of our own personal feelings The Shocker
3169853-shocker
As supervillain wielding two vibration blasting gauntlets, Shocker would make an awesome villain for the first MCU Spider-Man movie in 2017 because not only can he fire air blasting shockwaves from his gauntlets but while wearing the two gauntlets around his wrists he is able to use the vibration they generate to protect himself against any attacks his opponents make and the yellow and black suit he wears protects him from being affected by the gauntlets blasts and vibrations as well The Vulture
Wizecrack-UR_Vulture
A supervillain who uses flight tech wings to soar through the skies like a bird and who Spider-Man would rely on his web shooters to keep up with him while web swinging and The Beetle
Beetle_(Earth-1610)
As a armored supervillain with armor similar to Iron Man's but also equipped with various weaponry that if actor Robert Downey Jr does reprise his role as Iron Man for the movie, the Beetle would be an excellent choice on being the MCU Spider-Man reboot's villain because while Spidey teams up with Iron Man against this guy, Tony Stark might create an armor for the wall crawler to use to help him keep up against Beetle which would give us the chance to see Spider-Man wearing the Iron Spider armor for the first time in the film these are the best top 5 villains for the upcoming Spider-Man film because of each of their own abilities, tricks, tactics, capabilities and more that makes them really thrilling to keep the audience entertained while battling Spider-Man so don't bother with Mysterio because Marvel has him lined up for Daredevil season 2 and for Carnage, he's gonna have to wait until Venom enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also don't waste time expecting Marvel to use embarassing villains like Kraven the Hunter, Morbius, or Hydro Man because those guys wouldn't fit well for the first film and other villains like Carnage have to wait until future sequels because with Carnage being Venom's spawn, we simply can't have Carnage without Venom even if Kevin Feige dare to continue defying any barriers in the comics, it's best to wait for Carnage to wait after Venom makes his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Plus seeing the 5 villains in this article that Marvel should choose from on being the first MCU Spider-Man film's villain, I'm sure Stan Lee wouldn't mind if the villain they choose for the movie is one or two of them so please decide which one or two of the villains should Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios choose for the upcoming 2017 Spider Man film and please make it fast and have Feige and the people of Marvel Studios know straight away because it's only a matter of time until they announce their decision and we don't want their decision to be lame and disappointing so choose you one or two villains and submit your choices to Marvel Studios straight away while there is still time

@DrDoom, yeah, it's marginally better. But he still ruins it in the end with all the nonsense about how everyone has to tell Feige what to do and how the movie will suck if they don't take his advice. (Then there are the punctuation and capitalization problems, run-on sentences, etc.) So, yeah it's better than his other editorials (evidently he's given up on the Sinister Six), but frankly that's not saying much. And I still knew it was him from the description alone, lol.

And trust me, I formulated the idea for that comment before I realized this was Predator Rising.

Hob Goblin should stay a fashion designer with underworld connections, he was always the crime-oriented goblin while green goblin was just straight-forwardly insane, having him be a petty ex-employee of Oscorp has just been done too many times(with other villains or at least it feels that way, I can only think of movie electro at the moment) and kind of renders the character's creation pointless as he was meant to continue the Goblin legacy in comics but also, as previously stated, be this mysterious crime figure. But yeah, for an origin you never go big, but the problem with me is that I want to see the sinister six one day, but every villain needs an appearance before then, plus Marvel wants to do new characters, and most the sinister six members have already been done so they're left with Mysterio and Kraven(Shocker can replace Electro), and most importantly it is difficult to balance multiple villains: My proposition would be Mysterio, Chameleon, and Kraven, this sounds like too many and an awkward combination but considering Mysterio and chameleon both tried to frame spiderman by portraying him with the use of illusions they seem like a compatible bunch and when they fail, chameleon can contact his brother Kraven who should be the main focus, the story can be juggle this concept around and made to be more complex but it would be a neat way of introducing multiple characters at a time, and all of them new, too

The villain(s) need to be part of a smaller story in the Spidey film because the threat itself should be small to give Spidey some meaning into his own films as well as how he's not up there, or shouldn't be, with the bigger villains too like Iron Man or Captain America. Shocker and Scorpion would be some great villains to be used in the films because they're a mix of being a worthy villain but also villains that should only be handled by Spidey too.

Vulture is one Spidey villain who's cinematic debut is way overdue.

My top choices for the new Spidey reboot are as followed:
The Scorpion
Mysterio
The Shocker
The Chameleon
Kraven the Hunter
The Swarm
And I wouldn't mind seeing the Green Goblin show up again as long as they finally do the character right, providing that they wait until the new Spider-Man franchise has been properly developed.

I think Kraven makes the most sense. I feel that super-powered villains contradict the idea that there are more heroes somewhat nearby to help. In this connected universe, it definitely needs to be a smaller scale, personal story. Especially with Kraven specifically after Spidey rather than Spidey just stopping these dick, thug villains.

@Odin

Blame Sony for that. The Sandman/Vulture combo would've been way better to see on film.

@WakandasSoul I like your Kraven ideas. I just wish Spidey was a bit more seasoned before he matches wits with the Hunter. So I'm casting my vote for Mysterio. but if the Kraven Idea happened I would be cool with it.

I agree with the majority that Peter needs to defeat the Sinister Six by himself. Save the Avengers for a Sinister 12 crossover film.

I think the first Sinister Six should not be too powerful. I think the first incarnation should be Vulture, Shocker, Rhino, Trapster, Boomerang, and the leader Goblin (nobody would know the identity of this Goblin).

I too want to see Hobgoblin but how do you explain how he got his tech? I think Hobgoblin needs Green Goblin for his origin.

Scorpion in my opinion needs to be a solo villain for a film, along with JJJ having a huge role in the film and creation of Scorpion.

I prefer to keep Beattle with the Thunderbolts.

Enough Goblins! It's a tired idea.

Kraven could be your international mob leader while still having his big game schtick.

I've hope the Scorpion would come along. You can always change his origin and he'll still work. My favorite line from the original cartoon is spiders are prey of the scorpion (paraphrasing).
