Yesterday, it was confirmed that a good chunk of the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will take place overseas with part of the action taking place in London and other overseas locales. That's an interesting setting for the wall-crawler and one which opens the door to a lot of questions; for example, who will the villain be and how are they going to tie into a globetrotting adventure?
During a recent interview, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that the overseas setting does indeed tie into the sequel's story and that's bound to leave fans wondering about their identity!
"We've chosen a villain, and I think the storyline is fairly impacted by the locations we go to," he teased. "We love the notion of taking Spider-Man to places around the world that we haven't seen him in before. And we have a villain who I think will play into that nicely." Are we getting Kraven the Hunter? The Hobgoblin? The Chameleon? It's impossible to say but any of them and more are likely.
Fans will, of course, be hoping for an iconic villain from the comics rather than someone on the more obscure side but we're just going to have to wait and see. What do you guys think? Sound off below.
