As far back as the year 2014, when Sony Pictures were not-so-gradually setting up the future of their universe in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 film, the Sinister Six group was once planned to be a major priority to introduce.

Now, with the coming release of Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse, Sony Pictures are teasing that the Sinister Six may be introduced as early as when this film will hit theaters next year.

The tease comes from the book Sony Pictures had recently published, "Art of the Movie", which discusses the animation production for the Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse film.

An eye-catching quote from the book, mentioning the Earth 42 dimension the heroic Prowler variants of Miles Morales and his Uncle Aaron Davis are from, states as blatant as possible:

"Sinister Six have been able to flourish and take over the world"

"Criminality runs rampant. We wanted to create a world where it felt like Aaron and Miles G. Morales of Earth-42 (this reality’s counterpart to Miles Morales) are the only heroes." - Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Verse 2 Director

Says Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Director, Justin K. Thompson, Earth 42 is manipulated and seized by the chaotic masterminds of the Sinister Six team, and both Miles Morales and Aaron Davis of this universe are fighting to save it as The Prowler's.

There is the possibility that the superpowered villain Spot, could form an alliance with the bunch if they ever encounter, as he too, now has his sights set on taking down Spider-Man, along with controlling the entirety of the multiverse.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is currently playing in theaters. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is currently set for release on March 29, 2024.

About Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse:

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders. He must soon redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Nice. Now why isn't anyone talking about the flop of Asteroid City. Only 21 mil domestic gross. Wes Anderson has jumped the shark.

I’m fairly confident this is where they go all out and incorporate the live action variants as well that includes: MCU Vulture, Venom, Morbius and Kraven. This will be the perfectly opportunity for them to undo the mess they created or at least have them crossover in a way that makes sense.
