Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into theaters later this year, but before then, the cast and crew of Sony Pictures' upcoming animated film will make a pit stop at New York Comic Con. According to an announcement today, an Into the Spider-Verse panel will be held on Saturday, October 6, at 11:30 a.m. in the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The panel will feature writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller along with the cast of the upcoming film as they offer audiences "an inside look at the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse - where more than one can wear the mask." Based on the tweet, it sounds as though cast members Shameik Moore (Miles Morales), Jake Johnson (Peter Parker), Hailee Steinfeld (Gwen Stacy) will also be present.

Into the Spider-Verse made quite a splash at San Diego Comic Con. Though Sony opted not to release a new trailer, fans were treated to new footage as well as additional details. We were also introduced to new variations of the web-slinger, including Spider-Man Noir (Nicholas Cage) and Spider-Ham (John Mulaney). Highlights from the SDCC panel, along with behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and crew, can be viewed here.

The NYCC showing will likely build upon the excitement surrounding the animated film and fans could be treated to even more footage from the movie. It's possible we may be introduced to even more Spider-people. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into theaters December 14.
