Following those screenshots, the full trailer for Sony Pictures' Spider-Man spin-off, Kraven the Hunter, has found its way online, giving us a look at Aaron Taylor Johnson's take on the classic Marvel Comics villain in action.
The teaser begins with Kraven and his brother Alexei as teenagers accompanying their father (Russell Crowe) on a hunt. When Kraven is attacked by a lion, the animal's blood appears to give him powers (in the comics, he gains his abilities from ingesting a postion made from jungle herbs).
We then jump forward a few years, and Kraven seems to be operating as some kind of vigilante ("my father puts evil into the world, I take it out") taking down various poachers and criminal organizations, while his brother (Alessandro Nivola) has become the supervillain known as the Rhino (was he bitten by a radioactive Rhino?).
We also get a quick glimpse of Christopher Abbott as The Foreigner, and one shot of Kraven in his comic-accurate costume (or at least, more comic-accurate than the brown leather vest from a previously leaked image).
Check out the trailer at the link below, and let us know what you think in the comments.
Kraven will have an R-rating, and the CinemaCon footage was said to be a lot more violent, so we assume a red-band trailer will be released at some point.
J. C. Chandor directs Kraven the Hunter, which has a release date of October 6.
