As usual, it's best to take the following spoilers with a huge pinch of salt. However, there's no denying that this may lead to some fantastic scenes in the upcoming reboot! Read the details below and then be sure to share your thoughts on this in the usual place!

This from BigFanboy.com...
"Occasionally we get some exclusive scoops sent our way, and this one is quite interesting."

"One of the primary important crew members (who shall remain nameless) recently let it slip to one of our readers (a trusted one at that) that many of the stunt actors in the film have been spending time in heavy make-up for hours on end because of a fight scene in the film where they’re turning all the S.W.A.T. team guys into reptilian creatures… which I’d assume is some nefarious work of The Lizard."

Starring Andrew Garfield in the title role and Rhys Ifans as the Lizard, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released on July 3, 2012!

mannymade1: Sorry dude, but if you check under the "News" tab, you'll see that mine was posted first! It just didn't show up there immediately as I originally placed this story under "Scoops" before realising it didn't really belong there.

If he fights a big bag of shit, Marvel is in total copyright violation of Rocky IV. Id still watch. I like to watch.

Sounds interesting. Dr. Connor mental state as the lizard has seen him doing some crazy experiments, so if done right this could actually work. And what a great finale showdown: Spidey against an army of lizard-creatures.

this has the potential to be a great show down spidey vs a whole bunch of lizards. And its not unusual the lizards try this sort of shit before, the dude wanted to transform the human race in to lizards like him. Should be interesting watch though as far as I remember earlier on the Lizard was always reluctant in hurting his son and wife so that should be pretty cool to see. Hoping for the best from this movie

Where I come from "Fighting the Lizard" means something COMPLETELY different. Wanking I think... I dont know, nobody tells me anything. Still, watching an Englishman fight a Welshman in a tight costume is a box you have to tick before you die.

Jesus grif, it must suck to hate everything. You think this movie will be crap just because they've taken a few liberties with the suit? So far, we have an amazing cast and some pretty epic sounding fight scenes...Marc Webb still worries me, but try waiting until we get some more info and pictures before completely writing it off, huh? :)

I for one think this sounds bloody excellent. Just imagining Spider-Man taking on a group of humans transformed by the Lizard like he does in the comic books, really does give me even more faith in this movie. It's going to be epic and should easily best the fight scenes from the last three.

Put it this way - you all expect this movie to be THE balls. You take on board all of the research via internet media and raise your expectaion levels accordingly. Fine there's nothing wrong with that. But if the movie falls short of those expectaions, your opinion of the final product is severely damaged.

Grif's side of the fence - he thinks this movie is going to BE balls. He takes on board every piece of internet research via internet media and has low expectations. Fine there's nothing wrong with that. But if the movie does well, then there is one pleasant FRICKing surprise by the final product.

Don't hate on people with different opinions. Just express your own. Grif doesn't need anything. We just need to wait and see what this movie delivers. Hopefully boobs.

This would definately be interesting if it were true. Repeating what someone else has said, this sounds more like this could be more of a 'comic book-y' version of Spider-Man rather than a real world type because of this being a fantasy element, but again who knows? This could mean we'd be in for a more intellectual, evil genius Lizard as opposed to the realistic route being him just as a mindless creature. Very interesting to see on screen!

@dellamorte
Who knows how this would work if it were true, but this has happened before in the comics. I think earlier comics history had the Lizard as an intellectual, yet warped version of Connors like early man-monster characters that were mad scientists.

@dellamorte1872 Dude come on, that's not true at all.
Connor's didn't want to be Lizard that is true, but by no means is he mindless as the Lizard.
some versions have him feral, but most he is capable of higher reasoning and speech, and can control all other reptiles with his mind..
Eventually Connor's becomes the Lizard completely and it starts to take on his traits.

In fact this is taken straight from the Marvel database
"As the Lizard, Curt Connors' level of intelligence varies. Most often his Lizard persona has normal human level intelligence, but occasionally it has been relatively mindless."

@dellamorte1872 It's not what I found, It's MARVELS description of the character abilities, basically you're saying you don't care what he is like in the comics.

How can most people know him as you described, if MOST appearances he is intelligent as the Lizard ( even the original). In fact I can only think of a few where he wasn't.
He does want to be evil when he is the Lizard, you're thinking of the Lizard like the Hulk, when it is more like Jekyll and Hyde. He can still think when he is the Lizard, he just doesn't think like Connors ( well until secret wars anyway)

@Tea you heard right. But she hated it when I said "IZZY WIZZY lets get BIZZY" when I was in the mood. The Panda Dogblocked me at every turn. My junk left him speechless.

What was I talking about? Oh yeah Spider-man should be good. Might need ninja's.

@dellamorte1872 Wasn't intelligent until 2004? I'm afraid you're the one who needs to read up on the source my friend.

pretty sure this issue came out way before 2004

Here's another example if you still don't believe me.

He is even talking about building his Lizard army in that one, what you specifically said he wouldn't do.

Spiderman! [frick] yeah!!! Loving this concept. Maybe he had attacked the police and transfered some of his DNA to them, turning them into lizard minions. Be really interesting to see how this turns out. Swwet find, Josh

Also nice to see people still pissed off about suit. lol. "There is too much blue". Seriously. GO [female dog] about greesn latern's hairstyle, cause you dumb as comments are not welcome on a real fans site. You douchebags!

@dellamorte1872 Dude you're just wrong, and you're arguing against scans of actual Spider-Man comics. The Lizard isn't feral just because you want him to be.
I literally just showed a scan where the lizard specifically says "I'll build a mighty lizard army"

Oh well you just can't reason with some people.
