Upcoming Animated Series MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN To Also Star SPIDER-GWEN And MILES MORALES

Looks like the latest iteration of Spider-Man to hit television will include a few of the more recent additions to the growing Spider-family.

Thanks to Nerdspan, it looks like web-slinger fans will get a triple-dose of wall-crawlers heading to the small screen soon. Early looks at merchandise seem to indicate the upcoming animated series Marvel's Spider-Man, replacing the four-season running Ultimate Spider-Man, will also feature both Miles Morales in Gwen Stacy in their new roles as Marvel heroes, as well as a glimpse at one of the show's villains, Venom.

Given the, lets say, varying reactions to these two characters inclusion in the Marvel Universe, how do you feel about them playing a bigger role in this show than they did in Ultimate Spider-Man? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

That's too bad. I like the characters, but after USM, I kind of want to see Spider-Man as a solo hero again.

Sigh why can't we just get something on par with spectacular to be honest I would love a series that's art is reminiscent of the remita days but took place surfing the present something like archer where it's 60s styles but today's technology I don't know I just want something different and serious.

aaaaand my hope for this series just went down a notch.
nothing wrong with Spidey teaming up with other heroes (the 90's series did it all the time), I just think Spidey works better solo, at least in animation.
I also really hope this isn't another comedy cringe-fest like USM (nothing wrong with comedy, except that it wasn't very funny from the start).

Wow, I'm in love with the art style for this show.

I'll prolly watch the first episode and call it a day (or 3-4 years).

Oh well... I had high hopes for this, but If they're gonna keep ruining Spidey by shoving these other gimmick characters down our throats, then I guess that's just the way things are now.

I'll stick with Justice League Action and Young Justice season 3 for the foreseeable future.

Well I guess this throws my theory of this being the start of a new animated Marvel universe out the window, at least for now until we see official footage.

Must everything be a [frick]ing team-up?

another spider-man and his amazing friends type show again? a solo spider-man series with maybe an occasional team up like the 90's cartoon is the way to go. hopefully the have solo episodes maybe focusing on one of the three.

the designs look good especially venom (hoping the use eddie brock this time.) i'll check it out when it premiers. ultimate ok but greatly paled in comparison to the other spidey shows. a more accurate adaptation that comic would have been so much better.

Dafuq Disney?

Spidey is a SOLO hero.

He doesn't have side-kicks.

He himself is not a side-kick.

He doesn't lead teams on the regular. Certainly not teams of other Spider-Men.

Spider-Men from other dimensions are not an essential aspect of traditional Spider-Man lore. It's more like a gimmick for crossovers every 5 years or so.

I'm sick and tired of Miles Morales showing up NEXT to normal Spidey all the friggin time. It takes away from both characters.

Give me street-level crime, high-school drama, love, personal tragedy, character growth, grade-A voice acting, and fluid animation.

Nevermind, I'll just rewatch Spectacular Spider-Man.

Can any of you guys believe that in 50+ years of Spider-Man, we haven't gotten a single high-quality straight-to-DVD Spider-Man animated movie yet?

Really blows my mind.

I don't think Trump will allow this to happen.
