Oh Stan, how we love you so. Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee has addressed the idea of a bisexual Spider-Man. The comic book legend remarks "He's becoming bisexual?" the Fantastic Four & X-Men creator follows up by saying "Who have you been talking to? I don't know... seriously, I don't know anything about that. And if it's true, I'm going to make a couple of phone calls." Lee then jokes "I figure one sex was enough for everybody" Stan then turned his attention to last year's The Amazing Spider-Man, the film was a box office success and a critical success as well. Lee had high praise for the star of the film, Andrew Garfield, Stan says "Oh, I think Andy Garfield is great as Spider-Man, absolutely great, In fact, I would have picked him for the first Spider-Man movie if he had volunteered." Woah? Stan saying Garfield is better than Tobey? I don't know about that, but I'll leave that up to you guys, comment below and let me know!

STAN IS THE MAN!!!!
Obviously he'd hate it if they did that to Spidey and I always hated Maguire as Spider-Man, Garfield is much better!!

Still pissed no Stan cameo in The Wolverine. I think Andrew was a better Spider-Man. Tobey a better Peter.

@Dandy Andrew Garfield wasn't joking.

When you can name someone in particular (he named Michael B. Jordan) in these situations, that means you have previously thought about it.

smh@The puppets. Stan, like Feige and Whedon and everyone one with something to gain, knows how to play the fans and keep tabs on internet nerd drama. The first trilogy has already made it's success and it's mark which Lee benefited from. He has nothing to lose by throwing mild shots to get on the TASM fanboys good side. Lee is merely making a comment in favor of the current Spider-man just as he will with the next. If he lives that long.

I feel Tobey was a better Peter. If you look back at all the interviews about what Stan sought to make Peter Parker like, Tobey, or atleast how he portrayed in the film, was a better Peter. A guy that wasnt the hansomest guy, wasnt rich, he had financial struggles, he tried to please everyone, was as friendly as can be, even through all the struggle. He didnt push his Aunt May to the side.

Andrew is a better spidey tho. The wise cracking was the thing that was missing from the last set of films.

Stan is one great guy. I met him at a convention once. Greatest day of my life.
I totally agree with him about the whole "Tobey vs. Andrew" debate.
