It is a sequel to the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man and was announced in 2011. The studio hired James Vanderbilt to write the screenplay and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to re-write it. The film is scheduled to be released on May 2, 2014 in 2D and 3D.

For Peter Parker (Garfield), life is busy between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Man, Generalissimo, Mr. Lee, the Legend....

Man, everytime I see Mr. Lee it looks like he's getting younger and more chipper. For a man his age, he acts like he's 40 years younger, and that's just freakin' fantastic. I don't know about you peeps, but his cameos in most of the Marvel films are [frick]ing awesome to watch. Just love them.

Mr. Stan Lee.....

Take care, Generalissimo!

Nuff' said, my friends....

@TheHeat - Amen to that, my friend. I hope I, too, will be just as energetic and lively as The Man.

@Gambs - LoL, I wouldn't doubt it, man.

Judging from his place in the seat, I doubt his cameo this time will be as dynamic and as great as his appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man, but...well, it's not easy to top that one either, I think! And not saying that he won't be hilarious - his Iron Man Three cameo proves that not even such a small screen can limit "The Man" from being entertaining, so I'm really looking forward to what he's going to get this time.

Stan: "LOOK! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...haha I sound like an idiot. IT'S SPIDERMAN!!!"

Stan THE MAN is a living legend. All of us should be honored that he lives on and will forever live on in his books and cameos!

@Elbarto63 - Dude, show some [frick]in' respect. If you've got nothing positive to say about Mr. Lee, then keep it to yourself and don't say anything. It's as easy as that.

@ElBarto Hey jackass..why don't you find something better to do than troll someone who is in every way better than you.Have you created any Superheroes lately? Your Ballsack Man doesn't count.

Now be a good dog(or bitch) and go play outside,lick your balls or something

@SpectacularJoShFest @TheAmazingChrisReeve63

So what's the point of having this site and not comment anyway? Am I not entitled to have my own opinion? Both of you can kiss my hairy @ss, [frick]ers.

I dont hate the "Man", Im just tired of him getting all the attention and credit, and when someone asks him about giving the rightfull credit to Ditko or the King, somehow he becomes senile? Screw that. I liked him and respected him a lot , years ago. Now he's annoying. In every [frick]ing movie, man. It seems that directors are just fed up to give this man a space in the movie.

@elbarto63, that old crap again? Learn to search the net and not be an uninformed troll. I've seen plenty of The Man giving Ditko credit, some of the vids have been posted on this site numerous times. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Stupidity is claiming to know a fact that has been proven false. Congratulations...you're insanely stupid.

@marantaz:

I pity you, you little turd. You are one of those boys who swallow everything you see on the internet. I knew about Ditko, however, he never mantioned it upfront. He did it years later. All of you are defending Lee, the same as Kevin Smith did it and are %100 sure about it. Your never give the benefit of the doubt because you have that man on an altar. That way, you'll never see any flaws.

So your opinion is, that you dont like my opinion? Well, I dont like that you dont like my opinion. Turd.

@elburpo63, punk butt douche, I'm 51 years old, and have more knowledge on any subject on earth in one strand of my grey hair than you do in your entire feeble little mind. What happened in your life, your mommy didn't breast feed you? Or you caught her with a mailman who looked like Willie Lumpkin? Kids like you make adults like me sad cuz we allowed your mom and all those sperm donors to breed. Its just great to know you can't possibly be one of mine.
Elbarto63
Elbarto63 - 6/3/2013, 10:58 AM
@marantaz:

You really make me laugh, old fart. Really. For a person who says he knows a lot, about everything, you sound like the most pretentious, douchebag I have ever encountered in the web. You dont have any other choice than to denigrate a person who you disagree with? That says a lot about you, man. Remember, the first words that you typed were insults. So, dont be shocked if I respond the same way. At least I dont pretend to know everything, as you did.

Regarding the topic: If Lee said something, that must be true ah? You can see the kind of person Stan is in an interview with Jonathan Ross. That did it for me.

MediaMan
MediaMan - 6/3/2013, 11:09 AM
Elbarto, get over yourself. Even IF Lee didn't rush out to give Ditko credit at first, he has been doing it for years and years. Meanwhile, Ditko hasn't done himself any favors, by being a virtual recluse. No one is stopping him from talking to the media. For that matter, it wouldn't surprise me if Sony would be glad to put Ditko himself in a movie with a cameo.

Regardless, Lee deserves tons of credit for what he did at Marvel, whether you recognize that obvious fact or not.
Elbarto63
Elbarto63 - 6/3/2013, 11:25 AM
@MediaMan:

Finally someone answers with some good sense. I know, I give the Man the credit he deserves. I recognize that. It's just, I wish the other creators were praised as everyone does with him. Ditko is a whole case apart. However, even if he reclused himself to anonymity, he deserves half the credit as well. But no, only comic book geeks know the truth.

It would have been awesome to see the Man, and the King making cameos on their movie creations. Both of them.
MediaMan
MediaMan - 6/3/2013, 11:35 AM
@Elbarto,

Well, the movie credits do say "Spider-Man created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko" (or words similar to that), so he does get some credit that way.

I've often thought it's too bad Kirby died before Marvel hit it big on the big screen (although doubtless he wouldn't have loved everything that's been done). Kirby could go off the deep end at times in some of his rants about Marvel, but he wasn't called "the King" for no reason. Talk about gifted.

@elburpo63, awww did I hurt your feelings. Ley me remind you it was you who came on here to attack Stan Lee making claims you know nothing about because you weren't there! The only ones who know what's what are Stan and Steve etc etc. Stan is outgoing and public, Steve is not, he would not be comfortable being like Stan and so he doesn't get the notoriety Stan does. Plus Stan stuck around, he didn't get bored and go off to explore other opportunities. And you come here to whine about something you have no capacity to understand and embarrass yourself. Take a nap little man.
Elbarto63
Elbarto63 - 6/3/2013, 1:17 PM
@marantaz: hahahahaha no, old timer, you did not hurt my feelings. Are you hurt? cuz it seems to me that the Man is your gramps or something... Yeah, you=50's, Lee=90's. It might be, right?

I'm not the only one complaining about the little credit the other creators got. If you dont like what I think of Stan...[frick] it... like I give a [frick].

If you like to suck your gramps dick, fine by me. Go nuts with that. Also, you should follow your own advise and take a nap for yourself. You seem quite grumpy :D
