When asked about the possible return of MJ played by Kirsten Dunst Raimi states:

“Kirsten? I have talked with her, and she's very excited about the possibility of it,” I think I'm going to have to read the screenplay and make sure everything we've talked about is working, before I could honestly tell you absolutely how [MJ's return to the big screen] would go.”

When you ask, when will Raimi finally see the Spider-Man 4 script? Raimi has indicated it could be as early as June.

This from Sam Raimi, “Right now, David Lindsay-Abaire, a New York playwright, is working on the screenplay. He says that he'll be done in about four weeks with his first draft. So that's where I am right now. And I'm just about to hire a production skeleton.”

I don't question the girls ability to act, just her physical appearance. Kirsten isn't a dog or anything like that, on the contrary in fact. I have seen her in several moments were her sexiness is quite visible. It's just for a role like MJ, it requires someone more universally beautiful and sexy.

can MJ just die, or leave NYC for the rest of the series? she is the weakest part of these movies. she doesn't fit the character at all. She is supposed to be a smoking hot supermodel, and Dunst isn't even attractive enough to model for a Wal Mart sale paper.

This is what I've always said as well. Dunst does little to make me believe she is a leggy, lusty, redhead supermodel. She is too girl next door.

eh. she's not too bad. albeit shes not my type, she's cute. she's a good actor too. but i don't really care. it just messes with the continuity to switch the major role like that, and the common peoples (non comic book people) will be confused.

Funny how most of you don't want KD back only because of her looks. She's been in most hottest in Hollywood lists. They're not going to kill her off only because some random Spidey fans don't think she's hot enough. She's a good actor and does have that girl next door look which I think is more realistic to have in the movie rather than a super hot model. The only thing I wish they fix about MJ was having her hair actually red like it was in the first flick rather than brunette like it was in the last 2. They should also balance out more of the drama/romance/action to be more equal.

TeenIdol. Dude, they need to dump the bullshit storylines that concern MJ's love life or career, get Peter past the stupid bullshit of not wanting to be different, amp up the action. So lessen the drama and romance, because those storylines are what are slowing down the movies.

SPiderman 1 and 2 were good but everyone who is honest knows there are about 30 minutes in the middle of the movie that just drags by because there is nothing going on.

Spiderman 3 would have been good had they dumped the bullshit about MJ's career and her feelings with Peter. Cut out her character's storyline, and you shorten the movie by about at least a half hour and suddenly the shitty 3rd movie, is half way decent.

Come on, you guys gotta stop sayin "oh, shes not hot, blah blah blah." Everyone else knows that they cant have and actress whos just about sex-appeal-Like Megan Fox...because then no one would take her seriously, thats why Megan doesnt really have good acting-chops, because all her roles are about her looking "good". Now, Kirsten might not be dripping "sex-appeal", but she isnt ugly lol she kinda fits in with the whole Spider-man/Peter Parker thing, because her looks dont come on as too strong. And shes not a bad actress either...

BRITISH ACTRESS LUCY GORDON FOUND DEAD IN PARIS

PARIS – "French police say British actress Lucy Gordon, who appeared in "Spider-Man 3," was found dead in her Paris apartment after apparently committing suicide.

An official with the Paris police headquarters says an autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death. The official said Thursday it appeared to be a suicide, but gave no details.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of police agency policy.
Gordon, 28, appeared in a dozen films, including as reporter Jennifer Dugan in "Spider-Man 3." She portrays British singer and actress Jane Birkin in the upcoming biopic "Serge Gainsbourg (a heroic life)" by Joann Sfar."

i def think that they need to replace dunst...she has the acting skills for the part but just not the looks! sometimes that just how it goes, also MJ has always been someone that you could tell peter wantd to be with cause she had this swag about her that was so attractive where she knew she was hot but wasnt flaunting it and i dont think dunst portrays that side of her which is essential SOMEBODY PLZ GET HER OUT OF THERE!!!!!1

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Please. God. No. MJ. Can't we see Felicia Hardy? Or at least more of Gwen Stacy? Peter HAS seen other ladies over the years. This Peter/MJ thing in these films plays like a bad subplot from a cheesy soap opera.

Not to mention that while Dunst is not bad-looking, she's not the white-hot supermodel that MJ should be. If we do have to see MJ in the movie, at least WRITE her right. She is NOT a failure as a singer/model/actress reduced to singing in crappy restaurants with the freecreditreport.com guy on guitar. She is an in-demand supermodel. She is an accomplished actress on screen and on Broadway. She can sing and dance also, and quite well. That was always part of what made her interesting: that this glamorous and talented supermodel would fall for the geeky kid who lived next door to her as a child.

I dont really care....Dunst is good enuff. I never like the fact that the comics made her into this super sexy hot model/star in the first place.

It was an excuse to draw MJ hot....Peter was the ultra geeky nerd so its sort of odd for him to be with one of the hottest chicks ever.

Alot of decent looking chicks are stars n stuff...Dunst is good enuff.

Honestly, Kirsten Dunst and Danneel Harris have the same acting skills... meaning "lacking". But one's hot and one's... meh. Should MJ be hot??? Hmmm.... hey, any of you guys felt Maggie G was fitting in TDK??? Didn't think so. I mean there are only two things that could possibly put you on screen. Killer looks or mad talents. And Kirsten has... luck.
