Emma Stone, who played Gwen Stacy in both The Amazing Spider-Man movies, has taken to social media (via her stylist) to give her followers a look at her new haircut, and the photo has sent speculation into overdrive.
As you can see, Stone's new 'do looks a lot like the animated take on Gwen (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) from Sony Pictures' Spider-Verse movies.
Honestly, we think people are reading way too much into this, but you have to admit, there is a resemblance!
Jet's just say, for argument's sake, that Stone did base her new look on Spider-Verse Gwen for an upcoming project, what movie could it possibly be for?
Well, there have been rumors that the actress might be set to reprise the role in some capacity, either for a third TASM film or one of the big Multiverse-spanning MCU events on the horizon - but even if Stone is involved, we're not sure why she'd be playing a live-action take on Spider-Gwen and not her own version of the character.
At any rate, it's always fun to theorize! What do you think? Is Stone preparing to return as Gwen Stacy, or did she simply fancy a change in hairstyle and happens to look a bit like a different version of her character?
