Thanks to iFanboy, we have the following scans from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. Providing a far clearer look at those low quality images which were uploaded by last night, these give us an amazing (no pun intended) look at the new design of the suit, as well as Andrew Garfield and the various other actors and characters from the movie. Heck, there's even a great new shot of the web shooters!

With an all star cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012!

i think they shoulda used the old scool back spider for the back part of his suit. i would've done a very different suit but it's not completely horrible. Raimi's is still infinitely better imo

wow... I've got to say that these pics don't look quite as bad in high quality... but it's still sony...

I'll save my judgment of whether I think it will be a good film or not till the trailer...

hmmmm...his homemade web shooters still dont explain how he is able to stick to a ceiling. I guess ive already embraced the organic....cant get past the new set up. Not as interesting to me.

Really not liking the suit, and I can't put my finger on why.......compared to Rami's suit design, Rami wins. Have to wait to see on screen I guess. Teaser soon hopefully.

This actually looks pretty impressive, and hell Im surprised 2 say Garfield actually looks about the same age as Stone, his age was the main thing that bugged me about his casting, but I guess Il have 2 keep an open mind 2 this now, but still compared 2 The Dark Knight Rises n The Avengers, I think Spidey is going 2 have a bit of a tough time

this is my second most anticipated movie for next year. The Avengers is first of course :) im just so grateful that we are not going to see Peter Parker crying every 5 minutes!

also, i think the parallels they drew with batman begins may go deeper than they let on. I think Peter's suit and webshooters will be made from stuff from Oscorp (since he has an internship there apparently), similar to how Batman's suits are from Wayne Enterprises in Batman Begins. Dr Conners may even be his answer to Lucius Fox before he becomes Lizard. In fact, I reckon the formula that turns him into Lizard will be related to Spidey, like it may have been made from Spidey's blood, or the formula used on the Spider that bit him will be mixed with Lizard DNA to try and gain regenerative abilities.

this is one reboot that i never understood and never will coz there was nothing wrong with the original Toby McGuire series except they were becoming very expensive to make.i guess that maybe the reason who knows,

but i hope this will be different and won't repeat the same things which are still very fresh in our heads of the last trilogy.

will be interesting to see how it will do financially coz the first trilogy set a massive benchmark grossing more than $1 billion domestically alone and the most successful superhero franchise after batman.

love the original and Toby was spot on as the fun loving,nerdy peter Parker and spiderman,comparisons will be made which is inevitable when such a fresh series is rebooted,Garfield better be up to the challenge.

anyway im a spiderman fan so hoping it does well even if im not a fan of the new suit (not cool) or the actor and would have preferred a spiderman 4 with Toby.

I think i've clicked onto what bothers me about the suit....not actually the suit itself but that Garfield is much skinnier than Tobey in the previous movies, not showing the "HERO" look. So to me, it looks like a school boy thats purchased a pricey but decent costume...but that's just me

@batmanbruce the reboot is because everyone walked out after Spider-Man 3. The studio and Raimi fell out over scheduling for the 4th film, so he walked. Then, all the actors left in support of Raimi (except JK Simmons I think, who was willing to stay for more films).
The studio then had 2 choices; make a sequel with a complete recast and new director, or reboot the series and do something fresh and new with youger actors and stuff. I also think that may be why they wont have JJ in this one; they're waiting for a sequel so they could bring back JK, in a similar way to how Judi Dench played M in the James Bond films before and after the reboot.

I cant wait for this movie but this new suit has not rubbed on me yet. Now Im not going to let this suit ruin me watching the movie because thats just stupid. But I see that they were going for the Alex Ross look. Thats all well and find but the red should be more bright and with a dark blue and the web cartridges around his wrist.

The suit looks like a copy of the new Superman suit from "Returns"... Not liking it. I do like the fact they made web shooters and it isn't coming from him. If it did... Shouldn't it have come from his butt?? I did like the first 2 Spideys but not the 3rd.
