Earlier today I submitted the following article to the site:
Back in January there was talk of a CGI Reeves appearing in Man of Steel. Back then it was suggested that the image below dropped hints that we would see Christopher Reeves as the bumbling Clark Kent from the original movies.
So as I was sitting in the cinema massively enjoying the epic Man of Steel I was keeping an eye out for Reeves.
It doesn't come as expected above; it actually comes in the moment when Henry Cavill's Superman was being beaten down by the World Engine in the Indian Ocean. As the immense power beats Superman's face I was sure that for a brief moment a CGI Christopher Reeve appears superimposed on Cavill's face. I did a double take but it was gone. I had to go back and check it out.
I am happy to report that on second viewing of the film I saw it again, and I am convinced it was a deliberate Easter Egg by the film makers.
Well now I have found these admittedly low resolution images online. What do you think?
This is the one that does it for me:
Now, I think this comes down to personal interpretation as Cavill does bear a passing resemblance to Reeve from certain angles - but I wasn't the only one to sit up at the cinema and claim to have seen Christopher Reeve.
