There are rumblings online that an announcement regarding the fabled "Snyder Cut" of Justice League may be imminent, and we might just get a few answers from Zack Snyder himself when the director hosts a quarantine screening for Man of Steel this Wednesday.

Snyder took to Twitter to announce that he'd be hosting a Watch Party for the divisive 2013 Superman reboot via the Vero social media app.

"Many of us are struggling during this difficult time," the filmmaker wrote. "[I] Felt it could be cathartic to come together now for a Man of Steel Watch Party and celebrate the ultimate symbol of hope."

Snyder also revealed that he'll be answering some questions after the screening, so this is the perfect opportunity to ask him one of the many burning queries relating to his time in the DC Films Universe. The director may not want to delve too much into his time working on Justice League or the Snyder Cut, but we might get at least some indication of what - if anything - Warner Bros. has in store.

We could also get an update on Henry Cavill's status as the Big Blue Boy Scout (provided Snyder is still in the loop, that is).

Where he will reveal that the kryptonian AI in the ship was Brainiac, who would have been the villain of man of steel 2

@dracula - I personally thought it was bizarro. It was like symbolic of something profound that I can’t comprehend but it’s linked to Jesus

@dracula -
Brainiac actually was the ship's AI, though...

@dracula - braniac would have just seen all the damage bizaro was already doing and would have just said "oh nevermind seems like he's got this, no need to get myself involved and waste precious energy"

I like the commentaries and I also kinda like Man of Steel, so cool.

I'm yet to listen to this one but; here's the Batman v Superman one..

I'll admit that it's not great but it's interesting nonetheless — same for Batman v Superman.

I sometimes think that if you apply the same adaptational argument that you do to Spider-Man Homecoming to Man of Steel, it wouldn't seem as bad. It mainly only seems bad because of your meta perception of Superman. Internally, I don't think it's quite as bad. I also think it works well on mute for what it's worth.

@Nebula - My biggest complaint about it, putting aside my meta perception of Superman, is that Act 3 always loses me. The action and destruction just turns into noise. I know a lot of superhero films end with explosions and CGI chaos, but Man of Steel completely stripes any character beats out of that and it's just punching punching punching.

This may be influenced by my meta perception, but I do think just from a visual, cinematic standpoint, how cool would it have been if Zod had been causing as much destruction as he could, endangering as many lives as he could, and Superman spent the battle fighting Zod AND preventing destruction, saving as many lives as possible, moving Zod away from populated areas? Less "realistic," sure but it's also now a battle based on character choices.

That being said, within the first 15-20 minutes of that Batman v Superman watch party that Superman in the Battle of Metropolis is like Ozymandias (!) in that civilian lives have to die to save the world. So I guess Snyder would never have done my ending in a million years LOL.

@DalekCraigWasson - I'll admit that they should have at least included a shot or two of Clark looking around like "Holy shit" at all the destruction and whatnot.

It's his first major run in so I think it's fine that he's not a professional superhero yet and managing to fight Zod, direct him elsewhere, and save a load of people all at the same time. But that's where he would grow too, hence the fight would be a learning opportunity for him so you should have at least a shot in there to reflect that.

But again, that's still sort of a meta thing because we're wanting him to be and/or evolve into Superman proper that we know.

@Nebula - The problem is Superman has 80 years of continuity and people pick and choose which Superman is theirs. For me, its the take no bull shit Superman of the 70s through 80s. Some guys like Superman smiling, but if you just look through all the covers through the years you don't see him smile as much in some decades. For some Superman never kills. For others its a last resort sort of thing. Some prefer Superman with Byrne like powers. Others like him as a God. Some like Superman contemplating others like him with all the answers. There is no wrong answer as he has been portrayed as all these things. I don't really think it an adaption issue as Superman like Batman has soooooo many different versions through the years. I mean the original creators had him threaten to electrocute bad guys. Could you imagine if Snyder went with the very original? Good god people would lose their shit. But it would necessarily been wrong. I am not that far off age wise from Snyder and I can see where he got a lot of his influence. For me it near perfect and I nitpick a lot. But its just the Superman I grew up with. For others they want the Reeve movies (there is nothing wrong with that, I grew up at the same time and thought the first two were fantastic, they just didn't represent what I was reading on page) or something akin to DCAU.

@Nebula -
I've come to appreciate Man of Steel less with time because Snyder messed up the Kents. When you mess up the Kents, you mess up Superman.

@Nebula -
Well, the MOS Kents never really made people a priority for Clark. That's why he stood there and let his dad die. I can't think of a Clark Kent in any reality that would allow that to happen. I mean, not even try!
