Michael Rosenbaum Won't Be Shaving His Head For His Smallville Return!

Although the actor will be reprising his role as Lex Luthor in the finale of the long running TV show, there is one thing that he will NOT be doing when he returns as the iconic villain...

The guys over at Moviehole spotted an interesting detail in a recent interview that Michael Rosenbaum did with The Courier Press recently, and that is the fact that he will not going to the extreme lengths of shaving his hair off when he reprises the role of Lex Luthor.

There are other projects that I am working on that require hair. [Laughs] It takes four months to grow back!"

Not a big deal really is it? However, I know how Smallville divides you guys, so what do you think about him not shaving his hair off? He recently admitted that it was the huge amount of fan encouragement that convinced him to return to Smallville, so who wants to start a campaign to get him to shave his head? Anyone? On second thoughts, a bald cap should do just fine.

The Smallville finale will air on the CW on May 13th, as a special two-hour event.

He doesn't need to shave his head. They have this new hollywood invention that I hear works really well for that. It's called a Bald Cap.

I don't even know why this is a "news" story. He shaved his head for 7 years on the show, now that he's working on other things, he wants to keep his hair. There's nothing wrong with that. And anyone with any common sense would have logically concluded that a bald cap would be the way to go.

not a big deal if they use a bald cap. can't wait for the finale!

@SGA- LOL so true. And love the sarcasm :D

Yeah the bald cap is the way to go. If he has hair that'll suck...but at least we got Rosenbaum back!! :)

WB would be crazy to expect him to shave his head for a single episode.

Depending on the circumstances of his return he may not even need a bald cup.

It's be different if he were coming back for a whole season, but this is 3 episodes at the most. I think it'd be unreasonable to expect him to shave his head for that. A bald cap will be fine. It worked for Dr. Evil, didn't it?

I don't blame Rosenbaum. I had to get my head shaved once recently...took 3-4 months for the crap to grow back. It's dreadful really...going out in public having to wear a hat all the time.

Rosenbaum did it for 7 long years.

Micheal Rosenbaum is the best portrayal of Lex yet. Glad he's back, Can't wait. Bald Cap isn't a big deal, don't blame him for wanting to keep his hair. :F

Bald cap is totally fine. But FYI Michael, you're doing a show with Christian Slater. He's doomed to be in doomed shows. It's a curse. Plus it's on Fox? Odds do not look good...

Smallville isn't retarded enough to send him out there with a full head of hair...at least I hope not! =D

He will wear a bald-cap, don't worry guys! ;)

Lex has had hair before, the story that had him with long red hair would actually fit perfectly with what SV has done to the character.

Lex Luthor II was a clone of Lex with Lex's original brain, and long red hair.

not a big deal at all i mean he is only going to be in one or two episodes so shavning his head is unessesary when they could just do a bald cap. now if he was still a series regular i would say shave that [frick]ing head but i digress

He absolutely should wear a bald cap, but if he doesn't then this wouldn't be the first time we got a Lex Luthor on tv that wasn't bald:
