Michael Rosenbaum to Appear on Breaking In - Too Busy For Smallville?

TVline.com is reporting that Michael Rosenbaum will be a part of Fox's midseason comedy Breaking In, which could complicate his possible return to Smallville as Lex Luthor -- not that he was racing to do so anyway.

Offers the site, "TVLine has confirmed that the midseason Fox comedy Breaking In has big plans for Rosenbaum’s character, a crafty peddler of 'clean urine' who figures into a potential romantic triangle with the top-shelf computer hackers played by Odette Yustman (Brothers & Sisters) and Bret Harrison (V)."

While Rosenbaum is not a series regular, executive producer Doug Harrison is hopeful he'll have a part in all six episodes that will air beyond the pilot.

I don't think there's any chance he doesn't return for the finale, at least.

They got Teri Hatcher to do a cameo while she's the star of a hit show on another network, I'm sure they'll find a way to get this clown back.

Rosenbaum is definitely the best Lex Luthor portrayed, IMO. It's a shame he's acting like he's too busy to probably film a few scenes for the finale. But whatever.

I am a huge fan of this guy but I have pretty much given up on him coming back to the show. For some reason, he thinks he is too good to come back the show that made him a millionaire. The producers should just find a guy that looks pretty similar to him. The show has been setting up the return of Lex Luthor all season, they will definitely have that Character returning at the end of the show regardless of who plays the part.

Actually, with them doing the clone thing with him, they could bring him back hair and all. There for a while in the comic, Lex had disappeard, and when he reappeared he had a full head of red hair and red beard. I cant remember though if it was a clone of Lex, or how that all worked. But it was during the time that Supergirl and he were having a relationship. So, clone with hair, does follow Supermans cannon to an extent. There is no reason Rosey couldnt return for an episode or two with hair.

But i agree, I like smallville up till season 7 and then 8 and 9 ruined it for me. 10 however has been fairly good. Lots of good cameos. But im glad its ending.

Smallville is my 2nd favorite TV show, behind DEXTER, and for the best actor to play my favorite charactor not to return... is... Total-$hite(like my Scottish homeboy says)!!!!! There have been very few episodes that I did not like. Rosenbaum having a same-age look-a-like may be one of them.

The only thing that could suck worse than him NOT coming back as Lex, would be for Kristen Kruek TO comeback as Lana. Color me disappointed...
