The Producers of Smallville Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders have attempted to convince Rosenbaum to reprise his role as legendary comic book villain Lex Luthor for the series final season of the hit DC show. The actor as yet has not accepted.

From Brian Peterson:

"So far, unfortunately, the actor has not accepted. "You know what, if it's roses [that will convince him], we've done that. If it's dinner, we've done that [too]."

From Kelly Souders:

"We love him, and he's such a talented actor and brought such life to Lex Luthor."

Also Souders talked about why so many characters are returning for Season ten.

"This [final] season is a lot about Clark confronting the ghosts of his past, and I think he has something to learn from everybody."

"When we looked back at these nine seasons, [we] tried to bring something out of it we've seen before, but [with] a new twist."

"I can't think of anybody who has been on the show where we wouldn't have a clear idea of what their story is."

Smallville is returning for a final time on CW January 28, 2011 for the second part of the last season.

LEEE777 - Well all I can say is I hope he does or I will personally feel cheated out of watching the last ten years of Smallville, how about you?
