The Titans Meet Their New Nemesis In The Latest TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES Trailer

As promised, Warner Bros. has delivered the new trailer for DC’s Teen Titans GO! To The Movies, providing us with some context for the upcoming animated film.

The trailer continues to poke fun at the DC Universe, as Robin - Batman’s faithful sidekick - attempts to get his very own movie made. And why not? Just about all of DC’s other heroes are - even Green Lantern. As Superman reveals though, Robin and the Titans don’t actually do anything heroic, so they set off to find an arch-nemesis. Enter Deadpool Deathstroke who wraps the entire world - including DC’s biggest heroes - under his control. It’s up to this ragtag group of sidekicks to stop him.

As we’ve known all along, Teen Titans GO! To The Movies offers a satirical take on the super hero genre and the trailer definitely showcases the kid-appropriately crass and tongue-in-cheek nature of the movie.

It seems to the Teens that all the major super heroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously Super-Villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!

Teen Titans GO! To The Movies hits theaters July 27.

Still bummed they got rid of the old Teen Titans show, and replaced it with this.

@YoloSwaggins812 - Actually there is rumor that they are bringing back the old Teen Titans show.

@JoeMomma29 - I hope so. The way they ended that show is just as bad as how Avatar TLA ended.

@YoloSwaggins812 - I actually just finished rewatching the Avatar TLA finale less then an hour ago. What's supposed to be so bad about it? Bit rushed towards the end, maybe, bit bad?

If TTG has the original voice cast of TT then why isn’t Ron Perlman Slade?

Also that moment when this & Batman & Harley Quinn are the last times we see BTAS type animation for Batman smdh

This actually looks promising, I see what they're going with this. Could be the next Lego Batman or even Deadpool!

Even DC are Marvel fans

@Ineedrevelation - That's the problem. Until DC realizes what makes their own films (Donner Superman, to an extent, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Wonder Woman) great and stops looking at pre-2017 Marvel, they're going to remain the poor man's MCU.

It'll be hilarious if this makes more than JL, domestically.

It probably won't, but hey, you never know!

He called himself Slade?
LEVITIKUZ
LEVITIKUZ - 5/1/2018, 11:34 AM
@blackandyellow - I’m guessing they are doing Slade due to how they called Deathstroke Slade on the original Teen Titans show due to death being in his name.....

Which doesn’t make sense why in the film they can call him Deadpool

@LEVITIKUZ - I didn't know there was a previous Teen Titans show, but that still sounds stupid.

@blackandyellow - Excuse me, what? You didn't know there was an original TT show? One of the best comic book cartoons ever made, man.

@KWilly - I just looked it up. I was a junior in college when that show came on, so I was definitely outside of the target audience.

@blackandyellow - Yes.

Teen Titans Go is basically a parody and more kid friendly version of the original Teen Titans show

In the show, they called Deathstroke Slade due to censorships. It's quite common actually with animated shows.

Batman The Animated Series had censors too. They even slipped by with some censors. In Heart of Ice, Batman says "My God" and you can't say God. Also Mr Freeze said "Oh yes, I'd kill for it" and you can't use kill but they used it in the episode.

The 90s Spider-Man cartoon had EXTREME censors which included:
No use of words like “death,” “die”, “kill”
No blood/killing/injuries or deaths caused by violence
No use of the word “sinister” (which is funny due to the Sinister Six)
No guns with bullets
No real vampires (which is funny because Mobius)
No punching (yes that's a serious one)
No breaking glass
No hurting pigeons
