Michael Bay Unhappy Over TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES '9/11' Poster

You're probably well aware of the infamous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster (displaying a September 11 release date), with producer Michael Bay saying he was furious when it showed up online.

Recently, Paramount unveiled an Australian poster for their upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, featuring the Turtles leaping from an exploding fixture accompanied with the release date of September 11. Many see it as in poor taste, including the film's producer Michael Bay. "When I woke up and saw that, I said, 'Are you kidding me?' That was a silly, dumb mistake," he told Entertainment Tonight. "Trust me - I yelled at them. Normally everything goes through me, and no one showed me that poster." The tweet originally promoting the one-sheet was swiftly deleted, but has swiftly spread across the web. The movie hits cinemas this Thursday.

Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O'Neil and her cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan.

The only dumb mistake he made was even getting involved with this movie in the first place.

Funny how last week a user told me "You're so dumb!!! This is NOT a Michael Bay movie! God, you guys are so retarded!!!"

then Michael Bay says "Normally everything goes through me, and no one showed me that poster."

Funny, that's all :)

There is bad about releasing a film on the 11th of September (though it honestly depends on what kind) but nobody SERIOUSLY not make the connection between the date and exploding tower in the background.

One of the easiest things to do is call someone sensitive without any experience with the situation or the understanding of how an event gives trauma to people associated with it. Some of you people make me laugh. Fanboys get sensitive over fictional characters, while they have problems with people becoming sensitive over a real-life incident. Get real.

@marvel72 lol I was on the floor that's just bad. But someone should photoshop the turtles joking out of one of the twin towers. Now that would really stir some shit up.
