Last week, it was revealed that the movie had a director and now, we have the news that Bradley Cooper is in talks for the leading role in the upcoming reboot. Here is an excerpt from the report over at The Hollywood Reporter.

Bradley Cooper is in early negotiations to star in Relativity’s remake of The Crow, being directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

In the adaptation of the gritty black-and-white indie comic by artist James O'Barr, Cooper will play a rock musician who is murdered while trying to save his fiancée from thugs. He is resurrected by supernatural forces and seeks revenge. The role was originally played by Brandon Lee, who was killed by a freak accident during production in 1993.

What do you think? Is Bradley Cooper a good choice for the role, or do you have someone better in mind? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

I think Cooper is too old and not 'Rock N' Roll' enough for the Eric Draven version of The Crow.

I agree with Grif. No need to redo Eric Draven's story. There are tons of different stories that could be told within the context of the Crow.

WRONG. I like Bradley Cooper a lot, but this seems like a bad choice. I'd rather see an unknown get the part, or maybe (if he got some acting classes in), Steven Strait, from 10,000 BC.

I've seen the Crow so many times, I almost have the entire film memorized. Definitely one of my favorites, so I hope they do it justice. I think Cooper could be a good fit for the role, so long as they don't make it too similar to the one with Brandon Lee.

JGL or Hunnam for sure. Preferably JGL, since the role would fit him like a glove. Check out the movies Brick and The Lookout. He's an amazing actor, is physically ideal and even sings!

I really dont think the reboot should be done. But if they must just get Marc Dacascos. He worked it alrigth in the TV show based on what was given. Allow him to be the gritty dark one that it should have been if you have to have this reboot

@thedarkknight666 - Your statement rings true in most circles. I think Heath Ledger would be a better example though honestly because some people including me never though Micheal Keaton was a good Batman.

Oddly enough I agree with Grif for the first time very heartfully. That was kinda what was a good thing about the Crow, could have many story possibilities without using the same exact character. Eric Draven was a vehicle for The Crow not The Crow itself so well stated Grif
