THE FLASH: No, Warner Bros. Is Not Replacing Ezra Miller With Dylan O'Brien

Though we have no idea why anyone took this seriously in the first place, the rumor that Warner Bros. is thinking about replacing Ezra Miller as The Flash with Dylan O'Brien has now been debunked.

A rumor did the rounds late last night which claimed that Warner Bros. was "considering" replacing The Flash star Ezra Miller as Barry Allen with Love and Monsters actor Dylan O'Brien. Despite the questionable source, the report picked up a bit of steam, prompting Variety's Adam B. Vary to reach out to the studio to see if there was any truth to it.

Shockingly, there isn't - although we wouldn't be surprised if Miller's tenure as The Scarlet Speedster is short-lived.

The troubled actor recently made headlines after being arrested (twice) in Hawaii for various scummy behavior. Last we heard, WB was not planning to take any immediate action, but there is mounting pressure for the studio to at least address the situation officially.

It's far too late to replace Miller for the upcoming movie, of course, but the nature of DC's take on the "Multiverse" and the Flashpoint storyline means another actor could potentially take over down the line.

The Fastest Man Alive's first solo outing was recently pushed back from Nov. 4, 2022 to June 23, 2023.

I really don't get the "what were you thinking" attitude here. Anyone who's been paying attention to the news here would believe wb would want to replace Ezra Miller as the flash. And Dylan O'Brian makes logical sense considering they may be trying to keep this as the same flash all things considered.

You're making it sound like we're talking about someone like will Farrell being cast as the flash replacement.

If his name was Johnny Depp, he would be in trouble. But when your name is Miller or Heard, you can do whatever you want, WB will just pretend nothing happened.

@Moriakum - I have to disagree with you on “If your name is Miller or Heard…” comment. I don’t know if you’re following that trial or not but Amber Heard is DONE in Hollywood. And I’m sure after the Flash drops, Ezra Miller will be a distant memory too.

I'm still hoping for Dylan O'Brien to appear as Nightwing in the Batgirl movie anyway, so I didn't want to believe this anyway.

That said, I wouldn't mind this being the last DCEU movie. Just start with a new Flash, Superman and others in The Batman's universe and build from there.

WB: We don't need to talk about Miller

Don't waste Dylan O'Brien in the DCEU, The Batman is officially the strongest DC movie property and they have their own thing going.

I'm sure there will already be plans for Nova now but O'Brien needs to get his name in the MCU.

Just reshoot the end of the movie with a different actor with red hair. Oh no whatever the flash did replaced him with the superiors Flash, Wally west, what a shame. Moving on. (WB can have that top shelf dialogue for free)
