LOVE IS IN THE AIR — Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) decides that she and Barry (Grant Gustin)need to move on from Ronnie (guest star Robbie Amell) and Iris (Candice Patton) and find newloves so she takes him for a night out at the local karaoke bar. Caitlin doesn’t have any luck makinga love connection but Barry meets Linda Park (guest star Malese Jow), a sports reporter for theCentral City Picture News, and asks her out on a date. When Barry tells Iris he has a date, Iris issurprised by her reaction. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Ramon) considers Hartley’s (guest star AndyMientus) dangerous offer and the team searches for Shawna (guest star Britne Oldford), a meta-human with teleportation powers, who just busted her boyfriend Clay (guest star Micah Parker) outof Iron Heights. When Henry (guest star John Wesley Shipps) snoops around in an attempt to helpJoe (Jesse L. Martin) and Barry solve the crime, he ends up in the infirmary after getting roughed upby inmates. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

Wells is Eobard Thawne, from the future. The Flash was his lifelong hero, so he traveled back in time to meet and become friends with him, possibly work alongside him.

Something made him snap and go back to kill Barry's mother, possibly as a twisted idea to make Barry a "better person" (similar to what Hunter Zolomon would do with Wally). He lost his powers, and has devoted the rest of his life to "helping" Barry become the Flash, since -- haha -- Thawne is his biggest fan.

Thawne used his knowledge of future science in order to fabricate the identity of "Harrison Wells," ironically making himself one of Barry's own childhood heroes. I think deep down Thawne really does want to help Barry, but the problem is he's also a maniacal sociopath who's been manipulating everyone.

The entire plot of the series takes place in a time loop paradox.

I have a lot more respect for the Pied Piper character after seeing this. He's always been my least favourite rogue but was portrayed as sinister and powerful (having no flute helped). Absolutely can't wait for Mirror Master and Grodd. Royal Flush gang was a nice touch.
