THE FLASH Set Video Reveals That The Scarlet Speedster's New Suit Will Be A Mix Of Practical And VFX

Another video from the set of The Flash shows Ezra Miller suited up as the Fastest Man Alive, but this costume is clearly going to be a mixture of practical and visual effects. Check it out right here...

We've been treated to a lot of photos from the set of The Flash since production started, including first looks at Sasha Calle's Supergirl, Michael Keaton's return as Bruce Wayne, and a Ben Affleck stand-in decked out in his new Batsuit racing through the streets of Gotham (or Central) City.

Now, we have our first (blurry) look at Ezra Miller suited up as the Scarlet Speedster.

Before you get too excited, though, these videos don't exactly reveal the Flash's costume in all its glory. Instead, Miller only has the boots and mask on as the rest of it is clearly going to be brought to life with visual effects (the actor can be seen wearing a motion-capture costume). Based on what we've seen in the concept art, this isn't a huge surprise, but is a big departure from his past appearances.

In both Justice League and Suicide Squad, Miller donned a fully practical costume, but heading down a comic accurate route means visual effects to enhance the Flash's appearance make sense.

Check out these new videos from the set of The Flash below:

Uhh.. I don't see anything practical?

Did they learn nothing from Green Lantern and Cyborg?

@RageDriver2401 - Zod's armor was CGI, didn't hear anyone complain about him. Cyborg looked good enough.
Hell even Green Lantern's suit wasn't that bad compared to everything around him. That movie simply did not get enough attention from a VFX standpoint.

@Fares - I'll give you Zod, but the rest, nah. And Cyborg looked terrible.

I just hope they go easy on the lightning when he's running, that doesn't really mesh with Kanigher and Infantino's vision. Just have him run fast.

Always felt a bit bad for Fisher. On set, the rest of them look like superheroes. And he just looks like a stuntman with red light on his face.

And then in post production he looks like a ball of tin foil.

@bkmeijer - A fan was able to build this in a garage. With a box of scraps!

@InfinitePunches - I'm amazed at what some cosplayers achieve, and instead of them a deepfaker gets hired by Disney instead (I know Disney isn't DC, but they could use some more practical stuff too where CGI is unnecessarily used)

I guess if they use a mo-cap suit they can Sonic the Hedgehog it if people don't like the initial design.
