The Flash first screened at CinemaCon in April, and spoilers for the movie have been floating around online ever since. While Warner Bros. claimed that the cut shown at that event in Las Vegas was unfinished, we've heard that the only additions are the final scene and post-credits scene.
That explains the complaints about the movie's VFX, anyway, and The Flash's Speed Force cameos are still handled in a rather unique manner.
When the Scarlet Speedster travels through the Speed Force, he sees all manner of superheroes from alternate timelines, though they're portrayed as what's best described as energy beings rather than physical live-action actors. You can tell who they are, yes, but it might be best to temper expectations.
Regardless, reliable insider @MyTimeToShineH has shared all the big Speed Force cameos, including those that were created solely with CG (either because the actors who played the characters are dead or decades older).
It's an interesting list, though many fans will inevitably wonder why Teddy Sears was enlisted to represent the Arrowverse in place of Grant Gustin!
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.
The Flash races into theaters on June 16.
