THE FLASH Spoilers: Full List Of The Movie's Multiversal Cameos Reportedly Revealed

It's no secret that The Flash features some splashy cameos, but a full list of the DC characters we'll see from the Multiverse has now found its way online a week before the movie arrives in theaters.

The Flash first screened at CinemaCon in April, and spoilers for the movie have been floating around online ever since. While Warner Bros. claimed that the cut shown at that event in Las Vegas was unfinished, we've heard that the only additions are the final scene and post-credits scene.

That explains the complaints about the movie's VFX, anyway, and The Flash's Speed Force cameos are still handled in a rather unique manner.

When the Scarlet Speedster travels through the Speed Force, he sees all manner of superheroes from alternate timelines, though they're portrayed as what's best described as energy beings rather than physical live-action actors. You can tell who they are, yes, but it might be best to temper expectations.

Regardless, reliable insider @MyTimeToShineH has shared all the big Speed Force cameos, including those that were created solely with CG (either because the actors who played the characters are dead or decades older).

It's an interesting list, though many fans will inevitably wonder why Teddy Sears was enlisted to represent the Arrowverse in place of Grant Gustin!

Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.

That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.

The Flash races into theaters on June 16.

Wish they had bought Routh back for a cameo

@Godzilla2000Zer - sheeeeet, dude I loved the idea of reviving the original golden age Reeves movies with Routh. He looked so much like Reeves and had the mannerisms down.
Best thing is he became a better actor with age. So he’ll yes to this idea!

The Teddy Sears one is just beyond weird. Of all the CW characters to use, they picked him? I don't have anything against the guy, but wtf?

@BackwardGalaxy - What's even more weird is why they made him CG and even weirder is that he's Hunter Zolomon not Jay Garrick in the Arrowverse.

@soberchimera - they must’ve stopped watching when he said he’s jay and didn’t stick around for the twist lol

Did the watch The Flash TV series? Did they know Teddy Sears wasn't the real Jay Garrick? WTF?

Sears cameo is disrespectful to Grant and Shipp. Why Sears?? You had Ezra on the CW show and can't return the favor to Gustin. WB deserves a [frick] you for this.

got to see and early showing of the movie last night and can confirm all those cameos except Teddy Sears, it may be there but I'm not that far into the show to have notice him. All in all the flick is really good.

@tmeadows34 - I saw it last night too and I saw the Sears. It was one of the first ones when they showed the first multiverse world. But if you didn't watch The Flash show then you would just assume it was just a nod to the original Flash.

@IMCOOLURNOT - Christian Bale!

I can't believe they didn't have a CG clip cameo of Christian Bale! They own the footage right? What are they still afraid of pissing Nolan off? Are they afraid he won't work for them anymore, lol? That ship sailed WBD.

Just one Dark Knight Trilogy clip would have been SO appreciated.

@IMCOOLURNOT - That's what I'm hoping. These multiverse movies are so restrained.

I have a feeling they didn't let Grant Gustin cameo because they didn't want to remind the audience of him over Ezra, even for a second.

I mean, I'd understand if that was the case. It'd be like doing the first MCU Spider-Man movie and immediately reminding people of Andrew. Or even if it was TASM 1 and they immediately reminded people of Tobey.
99OPTIMISTPRIME
99OPTIMISTPRIME - 6/9/2023, 11:50 AM
@Kurne - But remember tho, Ezra was brought in for a cameo on the TV show crossover. Why not return the favor, and have Grant appear in the movie? Maybe instead of having Ezra play two versions of Barry, it would've been cool to have Grant Gustin play the alternate Barry. Assuming the scheduling wouldn't have been a problem.
Kurne
Kurne - 6/9/2023, 1:14 PM
@99OPTIMISTPRIME - they didn't owe Grant Gustin anything. Grant shouldn't be automatically owed a cameo in the very first Flash movie, which is being lead by an entirely different actor that the studio is trying to acquaint with the audience, in exchange for Ezra's cameo in Crisis (which was in the show's 6th or 7th season, mind you). Unless it was put in writing of course, which it clearly didn't seem to be.

Its no different to Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders appearing on Agents of SHIELD over the years. Feige/the movie side didn't automatically owe the SHIELD cast an appearance in the next MCU movie (after Fury and Hill's appearances) just because of that. Again, unless it was put in writing as part of that set up.

Its up to Marvel/WB if or when they want to acknowledge the TV side on the movie side. For Marvel it took all the way until NWH when they finally brought Charlie Cox in. Not ideal, but again, its entirely up to them.

The current regime with James Gunn may not want to acknowledge the Crisis cameo at all, and just leave it as a one-sided crossover (again, like all the Marvel shows have been like for years by referencing the movies/having movie actors cameo in the shows, but not the other way around).
