Warner Bros. has followed yesterday's first trailer for The Flash with three new character posters. Ezra Miller's Scarlet Speedster is front and centre, though we can't help but wonder if their face wouldn't be shrouded in so many shadows if not for all those recent scandals.
Next up is Michael Keaton's Batman, and if you don't get chills seeing the actor once again suited up as the Dark Knight on a movie poster in 2023, we don't know what to say. While his return as Bruce Wayne now looks to be a one-and-done as the new DCU beckons, seeing him back in action promises to be a delight.
Finally, we have Sasha Calle's Supergirl; it's a shame this shot of the hero doesn't put the classic "S" symbol front and centre but, again, as she's likely only playing this character the one time, Warner Bros. and DC Studios may be looking reign in some expectations.
Regardless, these are some great character posters and a nice way of building hype for a movie fans have been down on for some time. We're intrigued to see these "Worlds Collide," that's for sure, and hope to have more to share with you soon.
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The Flash will finally race into theaters on June 16.
