With Iron Man 2 finished, sealed, and ready for an awesome May 7th release, Next on Marvel Studio's slate, is none other than the Norse God of Thunder, Thor. The last official news being a mentions from cast members, and the director himself, Kenneth Branagh, dismissing rumored troubles on the set.

My first set of scoops are updates on uncredited cast members. Actor Allan Hale, has been added. He'll be portraying a SHIELD Scientist. Before appearing in Thor, he'll be seen in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe in Iron Man 2, as the same scientist.

The following cast members aren't in crossover appearances in Iron Man 2, but their characters give you a thought of the places Thor(Chris Hemsworth) will visit while walking the grounds of Midgard(Earth)

Actor Cliff Gravel will be a Hospital Patient, Isaac Kappy will be Pet store clerk, Juliet Lopez will be an Admitting Nurse, Terry Parks will be a Male Nurse, and Maryellen Aviano will be a Librarian.

Next, actor & stunt guy, Paradox Pollack, who can be seen in I Am Legend as one of the infected creatures, recently wrapped up work on Thor and he has posted a couple snippets about it on his official website.

First Day - Jan 6
"I answered the call and…was called to action….Today…I met young stars and old hats….Men I had been in Legends with and…Mates I met in the deeps of space…Today I feel very blessed to have met…Ken Tom and Jaime…And remet the first Captain Kirk,as Thor…Chris the others as Loki and Sif…"

Chorus - Feb 12
"I can say little about what i do on set with Thor. I am sworn to the secrecy of the initiated here with the Gods, but i can say that I worked with a very powerful chorus and we worked together to make a great scene, a great vibration, a great thundering collective who made me proud…."

Update - Mar 28
"So having completed my mission with Thor.Working with Vic Armstrong and the Armstrong clan and Kenneth Branagh directly, it is time to find the next.Being in LA, concentrating my energy on my next projects."

Last, from that very article with Kenneth Branagh dismissing rumors, also in the LA Times article, they included what basically is the very first official set pic for Thor.

LA Times caption for the photo: "Kenneth Branagh on the set of "Thor" (Zade Rosnethal)"

Well that's all folks. Hopefully we'll be getting those official concept arts, and official press shots, like it was said to be released in-between the Iron Man 2 release, May 7th. What we do know is Thor will be hitting theaters a year after Iron Man 2, May 6th.

Here is some fan art featuring Thor(Chris Hemsworth) in creator, CAS's, vision.

MF: If You Skipped over everything else to see the set pic, the pic directly above this is NOT the set pic, just a Photoshop Fan Art. Look further up for the set pic.

I wanted this filmed in 3d and people complain the cameras are to big and bulky , those cameras they are using are huge .

I am so excited for this movie.

@thunderforce - That camera actually looks like a 3D camera, but it's probably not. I always have thought 3D shoots with two lenses to get perspective, but I may be wrong.

I am ok with it not being 3D. I think 3D has a ways to go before it becomes something I hope for.

Fair play to ya MF, this is great stuff. First set pic is a first set pic..and its a pretty good one, most first shots don't include any of the main cast or director.

hola guys, back from a hellish week of work in Maryland - with a 48 hour turnaround *sigh*; with no internet access *cry* lol.

Oh man that set pic has me jizzin' !!! (lol jk) - is cool to see Brannagh in action as many of you pointed out.

Yeah gah, look at that pic of Thor on set - his arms are WAY too tiny, he looks anorexic!!! They should've hired Triple H!!! (jk again) =P

It is interesting info though. I'm thinking [and hoping] they may be filming in the "Painted Desert" as far as New Mexico goes - it's a large portion of the western region of the state (also eastern Arizona - not that far from the Grand Canyon). First time I went through there I must've been 10, last time I was 25. It has these incredible mesas and vistas; alot of colors - blue, orange, red, etc.. Has a VERY ethereal and surreal quality which I will never forget, as long as I live. A fight or setpiece there would make for something not easily forgotten. I would highly reccomend if you haven't been there and get the chance, check it out.

One of these days soon we'll get something worth jizzin' over - I cannot [frick]ing believe IM2 is upon us already.
