Stan Lee's Cameo In "Thor" Revealed?

Nukethefridge.com has more from their mysterious scooper...

After the rumors last week of Jessica Biel trying out for "Thor" and Stan the man's role in "Iron Man 2", the same scooper has sent in the following info:

Stan Lee will be playing an Asgardian in "Thor."

Ok so its not exactly a landslide of information! But if it turns out to be true, it would coincide with all the rumors of the movie being set primarily(exclusively?) in Asgard, and maybe only switching to earth at the end, perhaps just in time for audiences to be introduced to Donald Blake.

FIRST! That should be a fun cameo (as long as he doesnt have a cheesy line like in Spider-Man 3) 'Nuff Said

Oh and at least half the movie should be set on Earth otherwise I think that its gonna lose a lot of the audience if non comic book fans see it as just a superhero version of LOTR.

Isn't there like an Elder Council group? Maybe one of those?

Are there still any doubters to the casting of Thor as well?

He should be in the backround of a scene surrounded by Asgardian wenches, lol! ;)

Obviously that should say 'Asgardians' and that should be Stan in the middle, but you get the point!!

Maybe he should play like Thors mentor or something of that nature since Odin is probably to busy ruling Asgard to do that. "Have I proved myself worthy Stan?" "Thou has young one, Excelsior!"

Just as the ancient Norse peoples had Shamans or tribal holy men to tell them of the god's doings, perhaps the Asgardian Gods also have mystics and seers. I could see Lee in a role like that. The guy that was creative enough to come up with both Spider - Man and The X Men would be great in a role like that.
Or perhaps an advisor to Odin or one of the craftsmen that make magickal weapons and armor for the gods would be a good fit for him.

Mounted @ Yeah an also the IRON MAN bit was cool! I just think it should be EASTER EGG parts, not full blown CAMEO's like he has in the VENOM movie as LARRY KING! Gezz, heh heh.

Adventures In Babysitting was on VH-1 yesterday and the best thing about the flick is the little kid who wears a Thor helmet and has a toy Mjolnir. The scene at the garage where she's convinced that Vincent D'Onofrio is Thor was tight, in a very geekish way. I almost didn't believe that was Vincent D'Onofrio, especially after seeing him on Law & Order.

DarkAvengers, I must ask, how the hell would Thor NOT make sense in the Avengers film? Loki, the Thor films probable antagonist, was the FIRST true villain of the Avengers and Thor was a founding member. The Avengers FORMED to stop The Hulk who had been framed by Loki. (Not a History lesson, I do not mean to insult anyone Marvel Knowledge, just merely contextual.) To put it simply, the beginning of the Avengers in any Marvel Universe would make no sense WITHOUT The God of Thunder. Push off Thor because he "wouldn't make sense" and you will quickly push off the entire supernatural side of Marvel, therefore limiting you to a very boring "natural" set of villains and Heroes with very little difference in power acquisition. I of course do not find the non supernatural Heroes of Marvel boring, just merely tired of movies trying to "make sense" out of things that are meant to be fantastic and unreal, and tired of the lack of embrace of Marvel's Alien and Mystic elements.

I love Stan's cameos. As long as they stay cameos. I don't want him to get too many lines or anything cause that just throws off the Where's Waldo feel.

@teabag

I agree with you about Ra's Al Ghul. In my opinion they completely f*cked up that character and it almost ruined that movie for me. Batman Begins has grown on me, but when I first saw it I was disappointed. Nolan and Goyer really neutered that character for no good reason.

@Vic M

Spot on with that analysis.

@teabag@ the x-men one was the best it was just like where's waldo and that is how it should have stayed, Spidey 1 and 2 kept with that theme and so did Hulk but after that they started getting bigger,
