Thor: God of Thunder is a third-person action adventure written by Marvel’s lead writer for the "Thor" comic book series, Matt Fraction. The game follows Thor as he travails through the wide realm of Asgard, taking on all manner of villains with his powerful weapon, Mjolnir, in order to save the Asgardian realm. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston will lend their voice talent (as well as their visual likenesses) to the game.

Thor: God of Thunder is set to be released on May 3, 2011! The movie is due to hit cinemas in 3D on May 7th. Stay tuned to CBM for more news on the upcoming game and movie as it's revealed.

Great find bro, JOSH)! I guess the graphics aren't that bad, from the latest trailer. I just wish they were worth $60. And hey, I recognize that frost giant, sorta

DCMF: Thanks bud! :) I'm still on the fence about this game...it looks alright, but there's no way I'm going to spend £40 (that sounds so much less than $60, lol) for it to be the same 4 hours of poor quality that the Iron Man 2 one was. I only paid £6 for that in a bargain bin and still regretted it afterwards!

No game is worth $60.
Unless it gives you a blowjob.

Have the makers of this game seen Arkham City?
In comparison this looks like Tekken from the 90s!
I'm just glad the THOR movie looks brilliant.

I really want these games to be good, but I know they won't be. I've given up on them.

Anyone who buys a game for full price as soon as it comes out is dumb. What's the rush? Give it 2-3 months then get a pre-owned version for 1/2 the price! No game is worth spending £40 on, whatever it is. And don't get me started on the losers who queue up overnight for the release of a new game (i.e. Halo). How sad.

I'm Mos Def getting this. My problem is the Graphics are inconsistent. The top pic looks like God Of War 3 which is what the game should look and feel like but the Bottom looks like a PSP exclusive.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!

but i agree, the top one looks epic and the bottom looks rough... especially with the levitating frost giant.

It's the first solo Thor game so I have to get it.

You all should check into GameFly!!! I also would have to agree with most of you, after seeing a few trailers, the game looks pretty weak. The characters look cartoony, like a polished Nintendo 64 game! I will probably be first in line, finish it in 4 hours, go back to gamestop and trade it in for half of the value. I know I am biased, but Captain America: Super Soldier looks a lot better, especially with all the platforming.

@xenix - where do you get those games, aside from waiting 2 months???

@topcat - others, like myself, don't like waiting for 2 months for a game. When a great game comes out I like to play it right away. With that said, I will be waiting on Thor unless the reviews from Game Informer are 8.5 or higher! They are typically very reliable, i.e. Singularity and Transformers: War for Cybertron. Would have never had played either of those games if it weren't for their reviews and they were great!

Also, my wife is kind enough to let me spend our money on video games, keeps me at home instead of at the bar ;)

Since most of you seem to be Gamers, may I suggest X-Men Origins: Wolverine! One of the best CBM games out there! Certainly not in the same league as Batman AA, but it is a blast to play!

Started playing Arkham Asylum again, damn is that a fun game, can't wait for Arkam City!!!

@ SFCamerica: I Loved that Game. I thought it was a great Wolverine game and look forward to a second one more then a second film. I Heard they had down-loadable game modes that they removed in which you could use Deadpool or Sabretooth in the training room and in there own 3 level stories. That would have been epic in my opinion!
