EXCLUSIVE: Photos from the Set of Transformers: The Dark of the Moon

Check out Shia Labeouf's not-so-sweet ride in these pics from the Washington, D.C., set of Transformers: The Dark of the Moon!

These exclusive images from the set of Transformers: The Dark of the Moon come from CBM user jdlynch1, who shot them on location in Washington, D.C. While they don't reveal too much--some crew members loading a truck and a camouflaged 18-wheel flatbed truck--there is one interesting shot of series star Shia LaBeouf tooling around in a less-than-spectacular substitute for his good pal, Bumblebee!

Transformers: The Dark of the Moon opens July 1, 2011!

My guess is that IS bumblebee. Note the paint job and the fact that the rear tires are a little jacked up and there is a hint of a spoiler on the trunk. Could be bumblebee is being incognito for a reason in this scene.

Maybe the movie could only afford one Camaro so Bumblebee's borther "Sparks" had to substitue for him.

There was also a large truck that had a few faux D.C. cop cars. I will try to get some more pics if they are around town.

Nice photos, GUNSMITH. I'm surprised they made Rosie Huntington-Wheatley look very homely here. Then again, Michael Bay was easy to fool me back when "Transformers 2" was released, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Once again, they should've just scrapped the love interest from the whole thing. Even if Carly is a character from the comics and G1 series, Bay is still selling wank material for the airheaded 13-year-old audience rather than focus on the robots.

Plus, Huntington-Wheatley may be better off playing a superhero than a civilian, considering she doesn't look the part. Why didn't they get her for Emma Frost (MarvelCinematicUniverse, here's to you) rather than January Jones, who should've played Invisible Woman in the "Fantastic Four" reboot.

TTFN (Ta Ta for now).

Remember the last pic (well, below) where Sam looks like a used-car dealer?

Maybe he's called by the Autobots and in rush, he took that ^^^ used car and went away! Just possible!

That must not be 'Bee!

Well, never let it be said that Michael Bay and his team do not strive to make the best of a bad situation.

In Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, star Shia Labeouf was involved in a nasty car accident which needed him to have his hand in a support for part of the filming. It was written into the film by way of a "Spacebridge accident".

However although earlier reports suggested the process would repeat itself and Monday's Bumblebee crash on the Transformers 3 set would be written into the film, this has since proven to not be the case. Nelson posted on the Shoot for the Edit forums to dispel the reports the accident would be written in.

It's not going to be written into the script for the sake of decency. You don't put accidents into your movies, not kosher.

Look at the car, It's yellow with black stripes. In the Bay-verse the transformers just need to look at another car to turn into it. Please don't make me connect the dots on this incredibly easy puzzle for everyone
