The absolute, undeniable strength of this show is the zombie makeup/prosthetics...that is freaking awesome.

You'd think ALL the walkers would look like this by now, though. Wouldn't they have all completely rotted away only a few months after it all happened? Or at least rot away MUCH more than they've been shown so far?

Oh God, I'm starting to look for realism in a zombie apocalypse show. I'm out!

@TamponTunnel Yeah that's exactly what I meant. I thought it was obvious that I was referring to the ones that turned way back when everything first started (or at least the ones that turned months and months ago), but I probably should've clarified haha. You're right, I should've said "most" and not "all".

Okay, so I finally sat down and watched the show, so I'm late to the party.



Earlier this year, I said to myself (in broad terms): "I want to watch a new show. I'll see what the internet loves talking about and give that a try," and there were pretty much two options, and I picked Arrow. And my resentment grew with every episode, because I felt betrayed.

The show I didn't watch was Walking Dead, because I'm not much of a zombie fan and I thought: "the internet was overhyping Arrow, so they're probably overhyping the Walking Dead, too". About a month ago I gave it a try.

Why didn't anyone tell me that this show was actually this good?! Okay, I know you were trying to, but why didn't I listen?! I just finished season 4 last night and I'm genuinely excited about this.

This show is brilliant. Every week I turned in I was amazed at how real it seemed. My only issue is a big one. It is so real that it depresses me. There are so many brutal situations that are depicted in this show, and done so realistically. These and worse would likely happen in real life, but at the end of each episode I feel depressed and hopeless. Watching some of this stuff just puts me on edge. I usually like my entertainment to make me laugh or feel amazed in a good way. The only reason I watch is because it is a great show. But almost every episode, things get worse for Rick and company. Gets to be a bit hopeless and depressing after a while. And who the hell would go to a place named "The End"? Seriously!

That one is nice but it's got nothing on the tree Walker, or my personal favorite the well Walker.

Might not be the nastiest at face value, but the way it went out, was the sickest, most memorable scenes on the show.
