Why is the third season of Arrow so wrong?
I asked myself this many times, why don't I like this anymore? Why don't I care anymore what happens to Oliver?
These are all thoughts I had when watching Arrow this third season.
I have come to the following conclusion, it's too crowded. I feel like watching Spiderman 3.
So why is this? Why did Arrow lost her appeal?
The first season was amazing because we got introduced to a new world, almost nobody knew who Oliver was so it was very interesting to follow him on his journey to become the arrow and how he survived the Island. So yeah, we got introduced to a new show with alot of action and great characters.
The second Season was also great, renember how shocked we were when we saw Slade as the antagonist. He gave a real challenge for The Green Arrow and helped develop many relationships between characters. So that sounds like a very good fundament for season 3 right? So why is it so off?
Well my main point of issue is that it is too crowded, the crossover episode with the Flash was the limit. I liked Roy being Oliver's Robin, but also with Laurel there wanting to be something she's not, it's simply just to much. There is way to much side story's we have to follow because of this. The show needs to go back as how it started about Oliver, I'm okay with Roy helping but it shouldn't be about him. And I just can't take the actress that plays Laurel seriously as the Canary. Not to mention the many pointless dialogues about don't do this it's dangerous.
Second it's the Flash, I think the focus has lost on Arrow. The Flash is like the newborn kid getting all the attention.
I really hope they find their way back to the dynamics of the first and second season because this way it's going to lose her audience.
