Fox's Batman origin series has been introducing classic villains at a pretty steady rate, so it was only a matter of time before the Clown Prince if Crime showed up. Bruno Heller has teased the character's appearance in the past when he said there would be little hints as to the identity of the Joker every so often, but aside from that stand-up comedian in the pilot episode, we haven't really seen any (that I'm aware of anyway) yet. Well, there's probably a reason for those plans being abandoned as Heller now tells TV Guide that Joker's introduction could actually happen by season's end. "We've said you're going to be waiting a bit longer for it, but this is America -- nobody wants to wait," the showrunner told the site. "So, we will scratch the surface of that story, yes. But just scratch it -- a little tap on the door." By the sounds of that, even if we don't see Mr. J by the season 1 finale, the story arc that will result in his arrival to Gotham will be set in motion at least. It will be very interesting to see how the show handles this iconic character. What direction do you guys think they should go in?

I hate how the flash and gotham have the freak of the week status, I wish the villains had like 3 episode arcs. Gotham couldve been really cool, I always envisioned the season finale for season 1 with a red wedding style episode where it cumulates with the Wayne's death, and Season 2 having bruce go the Scarecrows dad for psychiatric help.

The Flash wont have any villains for Season 2! Savitar could be like the Bane for Flash.
And Richard Dragon new 52 would be sick for the big bad of Arrow s4

Ya know, now that we are getting ACTUAL superhero TV shows.. This show feels empty without the actual Batman. I mean, Whoever gets that show would know the ratings would be HUGE, & It would get a bigger budget then say an Arrow. So they could get away with a cheapish suit...

That scene in the Crane episode with the pig mask butcher and all the other pigs around him was creepy. I don't think they need to touch the Joker yet when they can still do all that stuff. He is a mystery for good reason. The story telling elements for him have to be very vague if they do it though. Once you break his history down it decrazifies him. It is a detective story after all.

the whole idea of a murderous speedforce cult with this really brutal speedester leader that is MORE powerful than the Flash should warrant a team up of the Rouges or Reverse Flash with the Flash would be sickkkk

Blowing their load, the ratings dipped, and they refuse to time jump to add in The Bat. Regardless of what some people stress to believe, it's still a Batman show without Batman. They can only take this concept so far before people tune out. And the Joker doesn't exist before batman, so just having this discussion kind of shows where this TV adoption of a prequel concept has failed miserably.

This show could have worked, if it didnt have Bruce or the main-league Batman villains be a constant focus ¬.¬

Maybe have Penguin, Riddler or Two-Face maybe because they could provide a good dynamic with the cops. One uses physical violence, another uses mental torture and the other uses his position of power as a political figure to become a 'lex luthor' sort of character.

Instead they are forcing Joker in, whose whole reason for existing is Batman. Batman Vs The Joker. Once Joker is introduced thats all fans will desire. They could have played with some of the minor league villains instead they are forcing in some of the main league people who would'nt have a good interaction with the cops.

If they do end up using Joker I really hope he is already The Joker. I really don't want an origin story for him. He is one if those characters that does not need one.

See...Flash is smart enough to save characters like Mirror Master and Black Flash for later seasons....and by later seasons I mean probably Season Two. THEY MOVIN' FAST TOO, SON!

Who needs Batman Gordons on the case he can take on his rogue gallery any day. Penguin, Riddler, and of course his arch nemesis the Joker. Watch as the clown prince of crime takes on the Gotham police detective. Why would Joker ever need Batman some stupid freak in a bat suit he has Gordon to play with.
