THE LEGION OF SUPERHEROES Might Be Coming To DCTV

We don't know exactly when, and we don't know which show, but from the sounds of things we will be seeing the futuristic superhero team on one of the current DCTV series at some point. Legends of Tomorrow seems like a good bet! Find out what Geoff Johns had to say after the jump...

Following the CW's Legends panel at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena over the weekend, DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns suggested that 30th century DC team, the Legion of Superheroes, might be showing up on one of the current shows. Well, what he actually said is that we'd be getting a "hint" of them, but it definitely sounds like things are being set up for a proper introduction somewhere down the line.

“You’ll see a hint of the Legion on one of our shows, keep watching” Johns told reporters. "I love the Legion. They’re underused and hopefully we’ll get them out there soon.” The Legion were previously depicted on Smallville back in the day, with the likes of Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad showing up to help young Clark Kent - but which show will feature them next?

Legends of Tomorrow is the most obvious guess since it utilizes time travel, but then so does The Flash, and Supergirl is also a possibility. We can probably rule Gotham out! What do you guys think?

This doesn't - in the slightest - sound like they'll be heading to TV in any capacity other than an easter egg.... Booster Gold's costume was in the background of the first LoT trailer...does that mean he gets a show too? Clickbait article is clickbait *ding*

I could see it, if legends is successful enough
As long as it's not stupid af

I think it would make sense to have the Legion on TV since they're already dealing with time travel on The Flash and the Legends of Tomorrow.

Johns also says, " "I love the Legion. They’re underused and hopefully we’ll get them out there soon.” But sure, ignore that part just to get your little whine in.

@RorMachine He also loves a ton of other heroes and I'm sure he wants to get them out there as well....I, again, don't see how that even remotely hints at them getting a show or appearance on a show.

Unless your claiming he ONLY loves the Legion of Superheroes and ONLY hopes they "get out there soon"...then you'd be correct.

Comic book writer says he loves a comic book character (or group) and hopes to see them in another medium and that means or hints at them appearing in another medium?

Do you know how many authors would like their works to be adapted into movies and television? Just because they want it doesn't mean they get it.

Soooooooooo, just an Easter egg then

Yea this doesn't sound like a TV show is being made for them at all

Also @RorMachine hardly a "whine" ... it's more like, "I'm using my brain and not creating idiotic clickbait articles based on my lack of ability to inference".

The title says the Legion MIGHT be coming to DCTV, and that's exactly what Johns hints at.

Legends looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully, it does well enough to warrant a new team for Season 2....which could open the doors to all different characters.

I would not be shocked if the Booster Gold script was re-written and turned into a Legion pilot for SyFy

Debate the ins and outs of what you consider "clickbait" all you like, I guarantee these clowns will show up on LOT at some point.

[frick], I love the LSH, but they should have a movie and not a cameo on the CW.

Fun fact: The Shi'ar Imperial Guard is an homage to the Legion, and Nightcrawler was originally intended to be a member of the LSH.

Probably one of them shows up in Central City. The Flash is confused calls on Oliver who packs the Legion ring he still has stashed somewhere and got on the island and rushes over.

The animated series was a lot of fun, but didn't get enough love. I am guessing either on Legends of Tomorrow or Supergirl we will see them.

Continue to make these "anthology cw series"... (that's the name i'm using for it. So we get Legends of Tomorrow after the Winter break in 2016_16 episodes is it? No need for a season 2.... In 2017, they can give us the Legion of Superheroes... etc etc...
Keep the main series for Characters like, The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Birds of Prey (I hope)

Great news!!
And Marvel should do a TV show based on their WHAT IF... comic books. Each week we could see different characters. Like the Twilight Zone TV show.
show could start with.
