Well, it looks like the multiverse may not be as dead as we've been led to believe, as the final moments of tonight's Superman & Lois finale saw an unexpected arrival.
Natalie (Tayler Buck), John Henry's (Wolé Parks) daughter from his original Earth, crash-landed on the Kent Farm and reunited with her father... before noticing the doppelgängers of her dead mother (Elizabeth Tulloch) and the man (Tyler Hoechlin) who killed her.
On that note, Superman & Lois brought its excellent first season to a close and it sounds like season two will continue to up the drama factor. Showrunner Todd Helbing teases that more answers about the multiverse will indeed be coming in season two, and adds that the premiere will deal will the immediate aftermath of that moment, with Lois doing her best to come to terms with meeting the daughter she never had
"We get into that in the first episode [of season 2]. The thing that I loved so much about this version of Lois Lane is you see all of her personal struggles and what she's overcome to be who she is, and I think we're going to reveal a lot more of that in season 2. So Nat is certainly a part of that."
As for Kal-El's brother Tal-Rho (Adam Rayner), who was defeated by Superman and Steel and reverted back to his normal self, it sounds like the show has no intention of getting rid of him or Leslie Larr (Stacey Farber) any time soon. He tells Entertainment Weekly,
"We love Adam Rayner. He's such a great guy, and an amazing actor, so we like this idea that Clark and Tal will have this sort of Thor-Loki relationship. So I think you'll see him again in one way or another."
Superman & Lois returns for its second season in 2022, so in the meantime, check out clips from the finale below:
