Did Abra Kadabra Reveal The Big Bad For Season 4 Of THE FLASH?

When a time-traveling Abra Kadabra listed all of Barry's major adversaries on last night's episode of The Flash, there was a very intriguing name mixed in with the likes of Zoom and Reverse-Flash.

When conveying his knowledge of the future to reinforce that he knew the secret identity of Savitar, the time-traveling Abra Kadabra insisted that he knew who all of The Flash's top adversaries: Zoom, Reverse-Flash and...DeVoe. That last one is probably a clue to who Barry will be tangling with in the show's fourth season as DeVoe likely refers to Clifford DeVoe, aka Thinker.

He's a Golden Age Flash villain who was originally a criminal defense lawyer that came to realize that individually, criminals are not very bright - but collectively, and with someone of greater intelligence providing direction, no single hero should prove their equal.  Previously at PaleyFest, executive producers on The Flash confirmed that season 4 would not feature a Speedster as the primary antagonist and Thinker certainly fits that description.

Besides DeVoe, there have been several different incarnation of Thinker, who have all possessed different abilities (such as mental projections and the ability to control machines) making it possible for the show's creative team to cherry-pick from each iteration to make Thinker a more formidable opponent for Grant Gustin's Barry Allen.

Does Thinker sound like an adversary you'd like to see Barry face in season 4?  With someone of his ilk calling the shots behind a group such as The Rogues or any other collection of metahumans the Flash has put away over the last 3 seasons, Team Flash might actually need to bolster its ranks!

I'm so behind on everything, I just don't have time like I use to. I need a vacation so I can catch up on all my shows.

poor batman.

really shouldn't have killed so many people in bvs. He was tried in metropolis, not gotham. because we know gotham doesn't have the fricken death penalty.

I googled "DeVoe" after last nights episode, was thinking the excat same thing!

All in all, probably the best episode of this season so far! Actually was surprising and intense. Felt like a season 1 episode for sure and the twist with Caitlyn came out of nowhere for me. Really wish they had just killed her last night...

I was just having a conversation with a friend that team Flash was too big at this point. Iris and Caitlyn and possibly Cisco (to help Gypsy) should leave the team for a bit.

@xfan320 - and Joe could leave to support wally as kid flash with Iris. Its logical, but the show doesn't have the guts to make the Flash, 'The Actual Flash' and not a fast guy with a squad of support of every type!

@xfan320 - when Arrow first came out, I felt it was the wrong move and CW should've made Flash. I also felt, for episodic purposes, a 'team Flash' was smart. Although, my team would've consisted of Barry, Iris, and the Dibney's. I do like his current team

@MonsieurClunge - I think it's this season as well as it isn't the greatest, even Arrow is better.

I'm just really hoping we don't know who Savitar is. I'm hoping it's someone we haven't met before. At first I was thinking it could have been a twisted version of Garrick but last night Kadabra said Barry doesn't lock up Savitar until after he kills Iris. It's a time loop!!! Just let Savitar turn out to be Johnny Quick or Max Mercury or something.

@DarkArrow19 - Or maybe Bart Allen? How is it that NOBODY has thought about him?

@GAThrawnIGF - I've been thinking that for a while now that it could be future Barry. It would explain how he knows so much about Barry and Co. I'm just not certain why he would return to kill Iris though. Maybe he's just crazy?

@GAThrawnIGF - but if it's bart then wouldn't he not exist if he kills Iris? I know these cw shows play a little (or a lot) fast & loose with time travel rules but that seems like it would be impossible

@DarkArrow19 - can someone tell me how long Barry can live. How is it that he could face Abracadabra that far into the future? I don't remember that being a big point on tv shows or comics.

The only Savitar reveal that would have completely surprised me- until I thought about what would completely surprise me, is Barry's mom. A time remnant that feels completely tortured by being repeatedly killed/saved by her darling boy.

At first I thought Wally was going to be Savitar, then I thought it coud be H.R. or Eddie. Now I'm not sure, and think it might some how be Iris. Here's why;
I think Barry watches her die and somehow is able to bring her into the speedforce and beg the speedforce to make her a speedster so she can heal. The speedforce will agree, but she will have to stay there for a while. Barry returns to Earth 1 with the intent to return for Iris but Jay comes out thanking Barry for bringing in anther speedster to replace him, unaware of what happened. Iris is revived and driven mad by having to watch every horrrible thing that has happened to her since Barry became the Flash and it causes her to become insane and become Savitar. She makes her own armor and runs through time making the legend of Savitar and as it's handed down people think Savitar is a guy, but it's really Iris.
She kills her younger self to get to Barry and it becomes a time loop.

Why did Tobin Bell change the way he portrays Savitar? As far as I rememeber, at the beginning he sounded like a senile old man, now his speaking manners are alright.
Should I consider it to be just one of the 1,000000000000 incosistencies of this show?

I usually just have fun with these shows and don't question much. But last night annoyed me, how the hell do you let Abra go? He was about to be die anyway, why not torture him for the name? Then again, I love future episodes and they wouldn't need one if they got the name already so whatever.

And with LoT, the spear seems kind of pointless now knowing they can just go back in time and get it before the Legion does. But again, no big deal. Was Darkh this much fun on Arrow? I didn't see that season, but I'm guessing no.

@jaysin420 - Abra Kadabra is one of the most dangerous and powerful Rogues The Flash has deal with, that guy is crazy. I also though the same, but then i remember Wally burn alive Abra Kadabra and make him go even more crazy and the guy even then didnt die or change his ways.

So Abra Kadabra is one of the few Rogues along Snart, Heatwave and Trickster i know you could never make talk because whatever you do that guy wont say shit...

The only Rogue i think you could torture and would say something to you is clearly Pied Piper...
