THE FLASH Actor Carlos Valdes Shuts Down Rumors That He's Leaving The Show

Before Season 5 of The Flash came to an end, rumors began circulating that Carlos Valdes would say goodbye to his time as Cisco Ramon and depart The CW drama. Speculation was then further fueled by the events of the season finale, which saw Cisco give up his powers to live a more normal life.

Now, after remaining silent on this issue, Valdes has chosen to shut down these rumors and express his love for the entire cast and crew of The Flash.

"First, let me just address the rumors . . . I'm not leaving the show this season. I know everybody here is wondering, I know," the star told Entertainment Weekly’s Chancellor Agard. "I see that look on your face. I'm not leaving the show. I love these guys. These guys love me, clearly. I love being in the room with these guys. I'm not leaving anytime soon."

While there wasn’t any evidence supporting the rumor that Valdes would depart the show, it still managed to gain a lot of traction among some fans, so these comments should put an end to the speculation.

Of course, this does raise a lot of questions about how Cisco will factor into the upcoming season now that he is no longer operating as the superhero Vibe.

The Flash will return for its sixth season October 8, 2019.

Then what's the point? You take his powers away (which are pretty useful story wise), but he's still on the show as regular ol Cisco?

My guess he just shows up every now and then.

@PeterCipher - I agree, but isn't the team still op since they just use those 'dimensional discs' to just jump whenever they please w/o Cisco?

Cavanagh is totally baked in that vid. Anyway Cisco without powers means the return of stupid Barry screaming “what do I do??” everytime he confronts a problem.

I like how he even threw shade here.

.@Tha_Los gives us the cautionary tale of not listening to the BS “sources” that publication x says about our faves.

Other bits of info there.

S1 Cisco, sounds good. But I hope we can bring back some of the Vibe badassness for Crisis.

The Doctor beat me to it, but wow, Brandon Routh as Kingdom Come Superman is quite something!

So have people learned not to treat gossip like facts? Not, yet? Ok. Carry on foolish humanity.

So is Tom really playing Batman or was that a joke? The way they talked is that he will be playing a version of Batman.Maybe Kingdom Come Batman since Routh is playing Kingdom Come Superman.

@Darriann - they’re kidding. But I bet this show’s version of Pariah will be a Wells.

So glad he's stick around, he plays one of my favorite characters in this show. Also got to say that a part of me thinks the power loss isn't a permanent thing... I know some people won't like that fact, but it could definitely help with his character growth.
