THE FLASH Star Grant Gustin On The Marvel Hero He'd Like To Play

ACE Comic-Con in Seattle, WA recently hosted a number of stars from the Marvel Universe, the Arrowverse and more. Grant Gustin was one such celebrity and had a spirited fan Q&A session during his panel.

The CW's Flash is centered on alternate Earths, but could one such reality contain a version of Grant Gustin that's a Marvel superhero?

In all seriousness, it's likely that Gustin will never appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a superhero as he's currently busy playing Barry Allen on the Arrow spinoff. Gustin is well aware of this too, as evidenced by his answer to a fan question at ACE Comic-Con about the MCU hero he'd like to play.

"Spider-Man. I love Tom Holland, but Spider-Man. I love Andrew Garfield too, while we’re talking about it."

Tom Holland will be playing Sony and Marvel's Spider-Man for the next decade or more so the chances of Gustin starring as the wall-crawler are slim to none. Still, there have certainly been more than a few fan suggestions in the past that Gustin would make an excellent friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man.

@CurlyBill - Uh, wasn't Cyclops nicknamed 'Slim'?

@FlixMentallo21 - Obviously that was from his younger days as in most comics he’s much bulkier than Gustin. He would have been a good Peter Parker, although I see no reason to trade Holland. If only we could have traded Stark for Uncle Ben.

Someone wants a Hand job.

I can see him as a young Reed Richards or Scott Summers.

When he first appeared on arrow, the first thing I thought of was that he'd make a great Peter Parker

Give him a few more years and he would make a solid Reed Richards.

He would have been a better Barry Allen in the flash movie than that idiot looking kid they choose. At least they didn't cast a black guy or recanted the character to be female....oh wait that's next

I don't hate Gustin, but he's... he's got a weird head and neck shape for mask-work.

Maybe it's just the Flash costume designers, but it looks very egg-y.

Gustin actually looks like an adult Peter Parker. I don't know that Holland ever will.

He's a much better Flash than what WB decided to give us on the big screen.
