In the Queen's Justice, Euron Greyjoy proved he's not just all swagger and bravado by delivering to Cersei the lead conspirator of the plot that saw her only daughter die of poison. In typical Cersei fashion, an especially cruel punishment for Ellaria Sand was concocted and many Game of Thrones fans assumed the show would peek in from time-to-time to show how that was playing out.
However, it doesn't sound like that's going to be the case according to Indria Varma, who plays the mother Sand Snake on the show. Perhaps what's more interesting is the explanation Varma gives for why her character made her exit last episode.
"Obviously there’s lots of trimming going on. It’s all coming to a head and you have to get rid of less important characters that the audience hasn’t had the chance to invest in as much. But of course I don’t die on screen. I stay alive, I’m just not going to reappear. I think it’s really clever."
Depending on how this season shakes out, perhaps we'll get a glimpse of Ellaria in season 8?
