New Game of Thrones Season 7 Set Pics Tease More Massive Spoilers

A batch of recent Game of Thrones season 7 set snaps would seem to confirm some plot rumors relating to Theon Greyjoy's evil uncle Euron (Pilou Asbæk) and several of the Dornish characters. The pics surfaced over at Warchers on The Wall, and give us a pretty clear look at Euron and his men leading some very familiar looking prisoners through the rainy streets of King's Landing: Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan), Ellaria (Indira Varma) and Tyene Sand (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers).

Those rumors suggested that Euron would be victorious in a massive sea battle that saw "at least one" of The Sand Snakes killed, and the fact that neither Obara (Keisha Castle-Hughes) or Nymeria (Jessica Henwick) are present here could well mean they both fell to pirate swords during the confrontation.

Though these characters are very popular in the books, fans of their live-action counterparts are few and far between - so there probably won't be many tears shed if they do meet their end!

Game of Thrones returns for its penultimate seasonin 2017.

This was to be expected. Besides the fact that no one is safe with GRRM at the helm, they were clearly not going to make it to the end. This was their purpose.

@GratefulBat - I'm wondering if he's even trying to finish the next book.

@GratefulBat - I thought he was done with the show?

Well he never really had the show. He wrote one or two eps a season for the first couple I think, but it was never really under his control. They follow his source material and he has told them roughly how it ends. So if they aren't somehow involved with the endgame, they're expendable. No way all 6 Sand Snakes were going to make it, this isn't much of a shocker. I do appreciate the spoiler tag though; major spoilers for the books are coming now that Winter is here.

I prefer Euron with longer hair. But I guess he wanted to look neat for Cersei lol.

Also, GOOD RIDDANCE OBARA AND NYMERIA the angry looking boy and shutyomouth

This show's Dorne plotline is resolving itself in the most predictable and stupid way imaginable. Of course the Sand Snakes were presented as a one-dimensional plot device so its only fitting that the most one-dimensional characters in their group (Obara and Nymeria) would be predictably dispatched.

The quality in writing between Martin and Benioff/Weiss is so apparent.

@RamonSuarez - Agreed on all counts. I considered tuning out for the last two seasons (until the books are finished anyway), but I don't think I could and some jagoff would spoil it for me anyway.

Well damn. And here I was hoping for a reunion between Tyene and Ser Bronn

It's no surprise they kill Nymeria since she's currently on set of the Defenders and not GoT.

Just like seeing Loras Tyrell cast as Iron Fist. Figured he was gonna be done in GoT.
