Sam Raimi met Joss Whedon while working on his western, The Quick & The Dead and immediately recognized his talent and isn't surprised to see that he directed The Avengers.

I did see The Avengers, and I loved it. I thought it was brilliant. Joss Whedon is an extraordinarily talented filmmaker... and in fact, in 1994, I was making a western called The Quick and the Dead and having a script problem...and I came to the studio and said, "Can you find me a writer?...they suggested Joss Whedon, who was doing Buffy, so I met Joss and he saw the movie, and he helped me solve this ending in one afternoon...I'll never forget how good he was, and how precise, so when I saw The Avengers, I was not surprised that his name was on it. It's a very hard job to take all those heroes and all those stories and know exactly what bits the audience needs and what they don't need.

ET caught up with various members of AMC's The Walking Dead to discuss various aspects of the show.

Ygritte actress Rose Leslie discusses what's in store for her and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) in the upcoming third season of HBO's Game of Thrones

"You can expect a chemistry between [Ygritte and Jon] and Season 3 you see these two characters — their journey develops and you see how their relationship develops.

In Season 2, Mance Rayder — the name at least was certainly built up, wasn’t it — to an extent where you were looking forward to finally meeting this character. And he is dominant and he is a leader, and especially from Ygritte’s perspective… She has put all her eggs in one basket so to speak, when it comes to Mance Rayder.

And in case you thought re-shoots would change the rating for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the film is still rated PG-13.

I agree with Sam about Joss. As an aspiring writer myself, Joss is one of my many inspirations.

I have always like Sam Raimi and feel he did a fine job with his Spider-man films. I hope some of U aren't just giving him respect just because he said He luved the Avengers. U should be giving him respect because he is a great worker period. I like the Avengers but some of U cheer like girls at a Justin Bieber concert but when people luv TDK trilogy U put them down. Just sayin even though I can't prove it but my advice like him & mean it.

Rose Leslie is too pretty for Ygritte. Ygritte is supposed to be a wilding, grown up in a very primitive society. She should be dirty and show the signs of a hard life as a warrior woman even though she is fairly young. Jon Snow does not instantly fall in love with her. It is only when he gets to know her over time that the starts to care for her.

Will she be naked? Probably, since it is HBO and Game of Thrones shows a lot of nudity. But the Wildings live where is is COLD, north of the Wall, so realistically folks would not want to go strutting around without clothes.

I'd give Raimi a shot at doing a Bat flick. Been a fan of the guy since the original Spidey flick he did. Who would have thought he'd go from directing a film like Evil Dead to doing something like Spiderman? haha

The Avengers was set up by the individual movies so really it was just a matter of putting them together and your Spider Man movies should not have been rebooted it was like sony slapped you in the face and said they were crap.

Yuck, keep Sam Raimi the [frick] away from those franchises. He ruined spider man for me, I don't want him [frick]ing up another favorite franchise of mine. All 3 spider man movies he directed were god awful, from the casting to the acting, and especially the directing. [frick] you Sam Raimi.
