WATCHMEN HBO Series Adds JUSTICE LEAGUE Actor Jeremy Irons In A Mysterious Lead Role
In a pleasantly surprising bit of casting news, Jeremy Irons (Justice League, Batman v Superman) has joined the cast of HBO's Watchmen series. His role is being kept under wraps, but we have a few ideas!
According to Deadline, HBO and Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen pilot has cast legendary British actor Jeremy Irons in one of the lead roles.
As has been case with all of the previous casting announcements, no details about Irons’ character are provided, but the trade hears will play "an aging and imperious lord of a British Manor."
Is there a chance he might be Ozymandias? Some recently leaked set photos confirmed that Adrian Veidt would be a part of the series - even though the newspaper headline that names him does suggest that he'll be dead before the story begins.
Still, there's always a chance he's faked his death or will feature in flashbacks. What do you guys think? Drop us a comment in the usual place.
