Though we know Palicki will play Mockingbird, we still haven't found out any details on when we can expect her to debut in the second season of
Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. or how long the character will stick around for. During an interview with Crave Online conducted while the actress attended the Fantastic Fest première of
John Wick, Palicki was asked about the role and how many episodes she's signed on for, but would only divulge that it's
"definitely more than one.” She did go on to talk about her trepidation in signing on to be a part of the Marvel Universe, and is very aware that playing Mockingbird means it's highly unlikely that we'll see in a different (perhaps more substantial?) Marvel role.
“There’s fear in it too. I know if I play this character, I probably would never play another Marvel character. There’s different questions you have to ask, and you ask about that too. Where is this character going? All those silly fears that you get being locked into something, but I have to say working with this group of people has been amazing. These producers and show runners are fantastic and I trust them implicitly. Marvel’s been really fun to work with as well, so I’m looking forward to it and I hope it’s a long run for us.”
Of course, Palicki is no stranger to playing a superhero, having brought life to Wonder Woman in the ill fated pilot from 2011. At the time of the show's cancellation Palicki seemed pretty crestfallen, but she seems to look back with pride and has nothing but good things to say about our new big-screen Princess Diana, Gal Gadot.
“I am so happy for her. It was an honor for me to play the character and I think it’s awesome she gets to play it now. I’m hoping that it’s kick ass and I’m sure it will be.” Be sure to tune in for the season 2 première of
Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. later on tonight. More from Palicki at the link below.
