Adrianne Palicki On Playing 'Mockingbird' In AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

The G.I. JOE: Retaliation actress and former Wonder Woman will play Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, in the upcoming second season of Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Click on to find out what she has to say about the "fear" of accepting a Marvel role.

Though we know Palicki will play Mockingbird, we still haven't found out any details on when we can expect her to debut in the second season of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. or how long the character will stick around for. During an interview with Crave Online conducted while the actress attended the Fantastic Fest première of John Wick, Palicki was asked about the role and how many episodes she's signed on for, but would only divulge that it's "definitely more than one.” She did go on to talk about her trepidation in signing on to be a part of the Marvel Universe, and is very aware that playing Mockingbird means it's highly unlikely that we'll see in a different (perhaps more substantial?) Marvel role.

“There’s fear in it too. I know if I play this character, I probably would never play another Marvel character. There’s different questions you have to ask, and you ask about that too. Where is this character going? All those silly fears that you get being locked into something, but I have to say working with this group of people has been amazing. These producers and show runners are fantastic and I trust them implicitly. Marvel’s been really fun to work with as well, so I’m looking forward to it and I hope it’s a long run for us.”

Of course, Palicki is no stranger to playing a superhero, having brought life to Wonder Woman in the ill fated pilot from 2011. At the time of the show's cancellation Palicki seemed pretty crestfallen, but she seems to look back with pride and has nothing but good things to say about our new big-screen Princess Diana, Gal Gadot. “I am so happy for her. It was an honor for me to play the character and I think it’s awesome she gets to play it now. I’m hoping that it’s kick ass and I’m sure it will be.” Be sure to tune in for the season 2 première of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. later on tonight. More from Palicki at the link below.

@SupermanFan

Renner appears to have found his preferred plateau, somewhere between being a main character and running around as a brain-washed henchman. I suppose if they could get Samuel L Jackson to say a few lines, they could get Renner in also.

Whoa?! Mocking Bird is coming to Agents of Shield? I just might have to give the show a chance now, I really got to know her character in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Should be fun seeing her in the MCU.

As long as she's something of a regular, I'll be happy. Probably gonna watch this first episode on Saturday because I have no idea when season 2 starts in the UK.

I hope she crossover and appears in a Marvel movie too. Either a Cap one, or any other.

it would be really stupid to include a known shield agent on the tv show, with connections to the Avengers, Hawkeye and so, and not showing them together at least in one movie.

So I hope Marvel has that in mind

The only reason why I watched AoS is because I'm a cb fan.
I hope that they can hold the quality of the last 4 episodes of season 1.
Otherwise it will again be a pain in the as* tp watch trough every episode.

I thought I read somewhere that Adrianne's first appearance in Agents of SHIELD would be in episode 2x05.

This will help wash out that nasty feeling I still have from watching Gotham. This season better start out on par with the end of last season. Then again, can't be worse than Gotham. Luckily we wont have little kitty girl in the show tonight. MEOW!

She'd have been an amazing Ms Marvel.
She really deserves to be on he big screen and not just on the TV show. Maybe they'll import her into the movies!

But yeah, she's 5'11, athletic, beautiful and talented. Perfect for a superhero! Or well, a Marvel heroine.

Someone should have talked to Idris Elba about this so we could have gotten him in a better role than Heimdall.

I've fancasted her as Donna Troy and Rogue, so I say good for her! And playing one of my favorite Marvel characters to boot. There's nothing saying she can't lend her voice to a comic book based animated series.....
