"In the premiere episode, “Pilot,” it’s just after the battle of New York, and now that the existence of super heroes and aliens has become public knowledge, the world is trying to come to grips with this new reality. Agent Phil Coulson is back in action and has his eye on a mysterious group called the Rising Tide. In order to track this unseen, unknown enemy, he has assembled a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division). The group’s first assignment together as a team finds them trying to track down an ordinary man who has gained extraordinary powers. Powers that could have devastating consequences.

First half was a little slow, but had to set everything up.

The last half was great and that's how I expect the rest of the series to be.

I think it was amazing, nice reference to the MCU and the cast is quite likeable. The script had some cliché stuff, but overall very solid imo.

I'll keep watching it for sure!

I'll watch it every week because there is nothing else on. I hope it gets better though.

Nothing special about any of those people including Coulson.

Skye was probably the best character of the bunch. But tried to tell us how great everyone was instead of showing us. We will see how everyone is fleshed out in future episodes.

So far everyone is just lite. I was actually upset that these guys had the nerve to utter the names, Thor, Stark, super soldier and Black Widow. They just don't deserve to say those names since they are nobodies.

They should have went with know SHIELD assets over these original characters.

I'll be back like most fanboys on this site. The real questions is will be if this show will grab the general audience.

I liked it well enough to keep watching. Smart move by Marvel. It's like a companion book to their cinematic universe. It's really just to condition the public to superhero ideas and vocabulary it seems.

jf-you know thats a reference to captain america:TFA when at the stark expo, howard stark shows the flying car prototype, that was an advance model

i liked it, i liked all the characters, they did feel a little cliche but hopefully as the series goes on ,they will be developed well,im so excited, my favorite part was the conversation between coulson and Mike Ptersen, theguy with extremis, great dialouge and kinda powerfule moment,i felt sad for that guy.

I'll give it 2 more episodes, but the pilot was a meh for me. I don't know if this show could find it's creative groove in only 2 more episodes. It's probably gonna take a season. So yea....it was fine.

Pretty good! Little too wholesome, and cheesy at parts, but I overall liked it. I'll try it out this year for sure. Think I'm even going to record Arrow, and watch them together. Marvel/DC TV night. Used to do it with EMH and Young Justice. :..(

Thought it was pretty cool, and I also enjoyed the Exremis reference. Although I did think to myself "Tony fixed Pepper, why don't they just call him for the cure" but I can let that slide and assume this took place before the ending exposition of IM3.

I'm not a fan at all, however, of Fitz and Simmons. Young "hip" people pulling off semi-genius quality work really takes me out of the experience. It just doesn't feel genuine. It would have been better if one of them had been older so there could be a slight mentor dynamic. And an older cast member is something this show could benefit from.

Anyone catch the Spider-Man reference? The ending totally ripped of BttF lol

Loved the episode though. Can't wait for 0-8-4

It wasn't too bad I'll give it a 7.5/10. I was wrong I actually thought it would terribly suck but it wasn't too bad for a beginning to a new TV franchise from marvel.

It makes me miss Heroes though, like seasons 1 and 2!
