2 Episodes of Agents of Shield are in the books. Personally I have loved the series, however, it has some flaws to it. Its running into the issue that it doesn’t have the heroic punch that make comics great. Therefore it doesn’t have the same punch and can be a little bit dull. The show is getting solid reviews and viewers but in my opinion this show needs to have some heroes at some point in it. Maybe not as regulars, but how about some SHIELD agents that are heroes?
Mockingbird and Hawkeye
I think this is the most obvious choice. Barton isn’t getting much love for phase 2 until the Avengers, so why not at least let him cameo in this TV show? Now as for Mockingbird I think she should become either a member of the team, or help them for a solid amount of episodes. Think about it, you get her into the universe via a TV show, gives the show a little more punch, and then you have her either for the Avengers or just to become more regular on the show. I would love to see the Agents bite off more than they can chew with a villain and then have Barton and Mockingbird show up to save the day. Also since both of these characters join the Avengers at different points it can help develop them both for the films. I’m having a feeling that Falcon, Hawkeye and Black Widow will already be spending more time together in Avengers movies since they are all shield agents. So why not add Mockingbird to their little group.
Spider-woman
Chances of seeing spider-woman on the big screen is very small. She just having her name go to close to Spider-man hurts her chances. But why not in the TV show? She could be a solid regular, and follow the same rout as Mockingbird. Again she would fit into the Shield Agent Avengers people. Out of everyone I think Spider-Woman should be a near regular on the show.
U.S. Agent
Now this guy isn’t really a Shield Agent, but he is an Agent. The problem with U.S. Agent is he is a lot like captain America, just with a boring name. He will always have a hard time reaching the MCU because of this, so why not have him be like a corresponded between the U.S. and SHIELD? Again a good way to let us know him before he jumps in the Avengers if ever.
A few other Ideas are having Quasar (Pre powered) showing up, and Black Widow but as of now I feel they should get some lesser known heroes to show up. Its just the fact that they just need some originality in their group, because as of now they are a group like most normal Agent TV shows.
