On Friday, Daredevil star Charlie Cox decided to be an actual superhero for a few hours as he paid a visit to the Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, New York where he spent some quality time with the kids, answering a wide variety of questions about his unique abilities and sharing a few fun stories, including that he is best friends with Spider-Man.

Cox also brought presents for everyone, handing out sweet-looking Daredevil/Punisher reversible beanies from Lootcrate, which many of the kids almost immediately started wearing. He also engaged in a Q&A where he talked about acting, recited a few of his most popular lines, and shared secrets from the top secret set of Marvel's Daredevil season three.

Watch the heartwarming video of his visit below:

"Marvel's Daredevil" is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.

Daredevil will feature:
Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil
Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page
Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson
Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin
Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple/Night Nurse
Élodie Yung as Elektra Natchios
Peter McRobbie as Father Lantom

It's kind of an ironic choice for Daredevil to show up at a kids hospital and hand out DD/Punisher hats. I mean, neither character or show is really geared towards kids. Like, at all.

... But hell, Charlie Cox seems like a really cool guy, and this is a damn nice thing to do, so I'm just gonna let it be.

Bit ironic since kids aren't exactly supposed to watch his show, but this is still a really cool thing.

Dude has gone to children's hospitals multiple times to hand out kids Daredevil pops

Cox is one of the best in the MCU.

I really hope some day he gets to be in the films. There is nothing more I want in the MCU than a Spider-Man/Daredevil team up film

@LEVITIKUZ - But Daredevil is a "mature" show. That's like:

Cox is one of those actors who has really become synonymous with the character for me. Just like Evans as cap or Christopher reeve as Superman, and it’s super cool to see that he’s just as much of a stand up guy in real life. Hopefully one day he can bring his excellent portrayal to the big screen.

Always great to see some of the CBM heroes give back. I think the kids would have liked to have seen him in his Daredevil costume........if they are even allowed to watch the show at that age.

If not they are missing awesome scenes like this...

If there is one TV actor and character we need in the MCU, it's him. Do it, Marvel!

@Asturgis - What comic is this from and what sorta time period is this?

Why would Daredevil say him and Captain America hardly see eye to eye? If anyone, next to Spider-Man, I'd say Cap would see eye to eye with Daredevil.

@Legendary512 - Was this when Bucky was Cap or Steve was Cap?
