@Spock0Clock - I mean......3 seasons to see the title character finally become the title character is a bit ridiculous.

I dunno Finn... if you want to talk about squandered potential we should probably discuss season 1 & 2 first.

@Chasekeane - season 2 was an improvement imo

@Chasekeane - come on this was clearly the plan. Some people have no patience. Is it really unreasonable for a show to fulfill the promise of the title by the third season? This is why iron fist will always be better than something like breaking bad, which actually had the gall to start off with the main character breaking bad.

@CorndogBurglar - @SexyResult yeah, that was sarcasm. It's really bad the state of the internet where I actually have to clarify this. In retrospect I can totally see someone unironically saying this.

Agreed. It would have taken us three seasons just to get a proper Iron Fist? Wtf?

Iron Fist was one of the weaker of the Netflix Marvel series in my view. Did not end up watching the second season. The simply truth was that it felt like they were padding out the character, promising he'd become the character we know so that we'd keep watching. MCU's Spider-man does the exact same thing, which is why it frustrates me also.

Uhhh should they call the first two seasons somethin else then?

They should have had his background and a lot more mystical elements in Season 1 then had him go to New York in season 2 and formed Heroes for Hire with Luke Cage. Then they should have just had a Heroes for Hire show which encompassed both characters allowing for their own arcs within the show.

Shying away from Kun Lun and what made Danny special (barely using his powers) only made it feel like a watered down Daredevil that talked about how great he was.

I think it improved a lot in season 2 and I wouldn't even say the first season was that bad, but it was certainly wasted potential that put them in a tougher spot given the greatness that was DD to live up to.

Anyway it wasn't Jones' fault, I'd still like to see him along Shang-Chi.

@DARKSEIDDIS -
Honestly, they should just use the Season 2 finale as a segue for Orson Randall to be the MCU Iron Fist (with the mask and everything). I'm honestly done with the Finn Jones version. Even when they "fixed" his character in Luke Cage and Iron Fist Season 2, he wasn't the best choice.

@Darkknight2149 - Yup. Bad casting from the start.

@Darkknight2149 - Netflix already used the look of Orson Randall with chi guns and trench coat. Ruined both characters

We shouldn't have had to wait 3 seasons to get the proper Iron Fist though.
It wasn't handled well at all, he used his power once every 3-4 episodes and spent the rest fatigued or completely powerless.

Always getting his arse kicked and the lack of any outfit at all was frustrating.

I could see them having Danny get the Iron Fist power in his other hand in season 2. The lack of costume and poor fight choreography in season 1 really didn’t help. The dialogue and acting was weak at times also.

For me, the best moment for Iron Fist in the Netflix MCU was his Luke Cage episode.

This was among the blandest comic book media I've seen.
