Iron Fist was pretty weak to me. Clearly the least intriguing piece of the Marvel Netflix stable.

Fights improved as episodes went on. But the choreography was always obvious and clumsy.

Most of the acting was ok. But Finn Jones played Danny as sometimes a bit too whiny. Jessica Henwick was stronger as Coleen Wing.

The flashbacks of the Rand family plane crash were horribly executed and amateurish. Never once did I get the sense that they were anything other than bad actors on a set pretending to be in distress. Awful stuff. And why on earth did the roof of the plane come off!? If the plane went down because the pilots were drugged, why did that make the plane come apart?! Had The Hand placed a bomb on the plane THEN I'd get it. But the explanation given doesn't match the visuals. It was dumb.

The Meachums played too large a role. To go through the entire season only to have evil businessman Harold Meachum be the big bad was disappointing.

The guy they cast as Davos was a joke. This guy looked like he should be serving coffee at Starbucks. He was too slight and short to feel like The Steel Serpent. And if Davos is done correctly, HE should be the big bad in the final fight. I know they are setting something up for later...but this season needed something special now.

For a guy as bad ass as Iron Fist is supposed to be, he spent all season fighting fairly ordinary foes. The threats should have ramped UP as episodes went on. Zombie Harold Meachum is NOT what I was hoping for.

And what happened to The Hand?! They were cool and spooky on Daredevil. In this they were weak ass ninja dudes with nothing threatening about them.

How on Earth do you cast Hoon Lee and waste him as some kind of flashback?

Scott Buck was the showrunner for Iron Fist and he gave us the worst seasons of Dexter. Going forward I'd prefer someone else at the helm.

Iron Fist rating: 2.5 out of 4 Glowing Fists.

@Origame - Awwww, did my comment that meant nothing and wasn't directed at anyone touch a nerve??? LMAO, guess you consider yourself a "hater"...in that case...

@Talontd - If by the fact I don't like it, yeah. There isn't even a huge backlash when you get down to it. Just critics saying they didn't like it. If not them, I have no idea who you're talking about and why that statement even needed to be said at all. But fine. Show me a gif of a guy flipping the bird. Whatever.

@Origame - Of course not. I see your comment above and you illustrated your reasons for not liking it. They were fair, thought out, and your legitimate opinion. A "hater" is someone who judges it without watching and giving it a chance. Or someone who levies an opinion based on what they wanted done (i.e. the critics slamming it because they didn't cast an Asian-American).

I honestly have no idea why you were offended by my comment. It was the 4th comment posted, done very quickly, and was meant to encourage people who hadn't seen it to give it a chance....and not listen to the bad word of mouth being spread by judgmental critics who had only seen half the show.

I absolutely loved it! Besides the costume deal, my ink complaint was

SPOILERS

Davos didn't seem like the Steel Serpant to me. I always had it in my mind that Davos is bigger than Danny, stronger than Danny, and more intimidating, but it was all the opposite. Honestly, when he was first introduced in the scene with the tin-foil ninja stars, I thought, "Wait, is that Bullseye?"

Better than Luke Cage IMO... It could've used better/more fighting early on but I think they'll step that up next season or in Defenders.

Finn Jones didn't blow me away like Charlie Cox did... But he was solid in the role. I like the naivety of the character who's trust in people eventually gets worn down. And the PTSD aspects of the story.

I thought I would absolutely hate Ward the entire show, but I like how he became a much deeper, sympathetic character as the show went on. And the plot was fine and the twist towards the end did actually catch me off guard a little bit.

Still have 2 episodes to go... But I like this show so far.

@Kman - Ward is the best character in the show and you may want to turn off your brain for the final fight as logic will effect your enjoyment
