First DAREDEVIL S2 Footage Shown At NYCC; Carrie Anne Moss' JESSICA JONES Role Revealed
The first footage from season two of Daredevil aired at the New York Comic Con just moments ago, and it featured plenty of Elektra and Punisher! We now also know who Carrie Anne Moss is playing in Jessica Jones, and she has MAJOR ties to Iron Fist! Check it out...
There weren't a lot of huge reveals at Marvel and Netflix's panel at the New York Comic Con, but by far the biggest was the news that Carrie Anne Moss is going to be playing Jeryn Hogarth in Jessica Jones. A man in the comic books, Hogarth was was a lawyer who worked for Wendell Rand. After Wendell's death, he became the executor of his estate and kept Wendell's son Iron Fist under surveillance after his return to the US, hiring Colleen Wing and Misty Knight to contact him and verify that he was truly Wendell's son. It was also mentioned that Luke Cage's role in season one of Jessica Jones is a fairly minor one, though the two characters will embark on a romantic relationship somewhere down the line. Before all this was revealed, footage from Daredevil was also shown!
Here's the description of the footage courtesy of IGN: "In montage, we see Daredevil in full costume going down a grimy stairway, Elektra putting on a veil-type mask across her lower face, and bullet shells being picked up off the floor of a crime scene. We see Karen looking at an x-ray-type image of a stylized skull... and then Frank Castle aka the Punisher (we don't see his full face) walks down what appears to be a hospital corridor holding a gun. In voice over he says just one word, 'Beg.'" However, other sites are reporting that he could be heard saying, "Vindication. Your work is not yet finished," during a second viewing. It was such a brief clip that specifics are hard to come by right now, so here's hoping the preview finds its way online sooner rather than later, eh? That was pretty much it for Daredevil, but the panel ended with the entire first episode of Jessica Jones being aired, so stay tuned for updates. Which of these shows are you most excited about?
